The biggest surprise of the day is that my wife can now swim, something clicked in her brain and now she's got a bizarre dog paddle technique that works.

For those of us who didn't learn swimming in swimming school or at a swim club, it's the first we learn. Fun fact: when I was in elementary school, my dad put us in vacation swimming classes, but I just couldn't get the hang of it. I think it was the panic and fear like you've mentioned. It was only years later when I calmly tried the techniques out and look what I remembered from it and I swam like an otter! Go figure! ahahaha

It's funny how that works isn't it, wish I could remember when it all clicked when I learned how to swim, but I was too young because my parents were putting me in pools since I was baby. It was very pleasing to see my wife finally get the confidence, so now it's just a matter of mastering the dog paddle stroke ๐Ÿ˜….

Yeah, some of us got into swimming way earlier than others.
The earlier the better I think.
