Gold or Silver? Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 11 Report 24.11.2022

Hey Splinters!

This tornado of news from Splinterlands makes you first move faster and then freeze for cover, so you don't make a million mistakes. But the truth is, you still have to make mistakes. The game is so alive that changes happen almost every day. The purpose of this post is to show my thoughts and the struggle to advance to the gold league with what I already have. All reasoning calculations and inferences will be shown through the lens of numbers from @kiokizz report SplinterStats.

So, this should be an interesting report, especially since I'm constantly adding cards and improving my deck! Let's get started!

Match Report

I reached the gold league again by mid-season and rented some cards to match the league in CP. Again, my Ratio (Win/Loss) is lower than last season. So for 2 seasons in a row, I am dropping this ratio. It is now 1.09 (191/175) wins/losses. I seem to be becoming a whipping boy lately. 😅 But I'm at the end of the road to my first level 4 summoner. It will be THADDIUS BROOD to stand up to the earth and water mages that have been so beloved lately. I also like the death splinter!

Rewards Report

Compared to last season, all the numbers are down except for the SPS rewards. I earned 48 SPS this season and only 42 last season. A gain of 14% even though I had my worst game of the month. This season, an update has already gone into effect that requires a certain level of cards for a certain league. I don't know how this will affect my rewards, but I will definitely be buying some cards to get a foothold in the gold league with minimal rentals. And by the way, I'm still waiting for my first legendary gold foil card. That would really help me get ahead!

Rental Report

This season I earned more from renting my own cards and spent less on renting the cards I needed, to the tune of 600 DEC. Maybe I should spend that profit to pick up a deck that will allow me to raise my Win/Loss Ratio, but I prefer to buy a summoner. That way I can make money on rentals and strengthen my deck in the future. For now, my strategy is to buy, accumulate, and hold despite the bull market around all cryptocurrency. No one knows what tomorrow may bring us or the creators of Splinerlands!

SPS Report

Hmm, this season I got 3 SPS and 0.3 Voucher less than last season. Maybe it's because of pool dilution or a short season. I should keep an eye on that. Otherwise, I'm happy and am not thinking of getting rid of these assets just yet. On the contrary, I should even allocate some amount of savings to buy into SPS. This will give me the opportunity to participate in some of the tournaments I want.

Conclusions

First, it gets very interesting! A bear market brings more news than a bull market, when everyone is just rushing to get more tokens, coins, cards and money. I remember like yesterday this race, in which you always feel one step behind. It was a time of minimum updates and maximum rush. Now is a golden time of building and learning. Anything done now will bring great experience in the future, you have to remember that!

Now the season is underway, which has already introduced changes to map levels for certain leagues. I will be getting less reward for each of my battles. But you know, that won't stop me! Rather the opposite, I'll be building my deck to stay in the gold and then move even higher. Sooner or later this bear market will end, and I'll be ready for it!
