Day 84 of Rising Star. The perfect balance of the game.

Hi there!

I recently read a post that came to me from Listnerds. It was about not understanding what to do at a certain point in the game. I've run into similar things myself when I don't understand how I can improve. Make more money, level up faster, or spend less time. I also naively believed that at some point I understood all the mechanics or tokenomics of Rising Star. Today I decided to fix some points for myself, but perhaps it will also help newcomers who have just started playing or are about to do so.

I'd also like to record my progress in the game more often than I do now, to keep track of my right and wrong actions in the game. Or to what extent my activity affects further progress over the next few days. So, here we go!

The perfect balance

Yes, that's what I would call all the mechanics and tokenomics of Rising Stars. It's similar to life. To make more money, ⏩ you have to have more fans. To have more fans without sacrificing your earnings, ⏩ you need to take more music lessons or improve your lessons. To improve your lessons, ⏩ you need certain cards, which you have to buy or earn in missions. To buy the cards you need or complete the missions you want, ⏩ you have to take the time to earn them. So we're back to where we started. That's what I call perfect balance.

The recent announcement of future updates to the game, which will take effect on June 27, is also based on balance. You can read the update announcement here: Changes to the Starbits Millionaire Mission. In order to keep doing the millionaire mission, you need to have more fans. That is, with each millionaire mission, you must budget to buy a card that will cover the need for the number of fans. It's just like in life. The more assets you have, the more it costs to maintain or buy them!

I also see a perfect balance in doing missions as well. At first glance, we have a moment of randomness when it comes to making money on certain missions. This is both so and not so at the same time.

Yes, as shown in the screenshot below right, I will get between 500 and 2079 STARBITS for this mission. The average is (500 + 2079) / 2 = 1289.5 STARBITS. That's right. But if we do this mission time after time, we'll notice that the payout will be 500 to 800 STARBITS, no more. Again, just like in life. No fan likes constant touring without a new album. Right? 😜 That's why we should be constantly changing missions, at least within 24 hours. Let that be the advice! 😊

My top mistake in 30 days

As I wrote on my blog, I sold 1000000 STARBITS when the update announcement I wrote about above came out. The market reacted quickly. I got scared for my assets and decided to hedge. Yes, it was definitely a mistake. I lost about 150 HIVE. This is just my mistake, and only I am responsible for it. But I learned my lesson. A lesson worth 150 HIVE. LOL!

The lesson is that the Hive community is very friendly, and you can't rock the boat here as easily as you can in another blockchain. I knew this before from the Splinterland example. In the beginning, players stayed in the game even when it didn't bring in any money. Even the opposite, you had to keep buying new cards to keep growing. Look where Splinterlands is now... On Hive, every project is a balance of creator effort and feedback from participants. An invisible connection for the blockchain. It's that connection that's so important. And not just here.
