5 Minute Freewrite (Prompt: Knot in the Stomach)

Karl wanted to change his gender from male to female. He even picked a name for himself. He called himself Anna. He knew that he is living in a restrictive society, and he couldn't tell his parents about his decision.

When he finally decided to tell his parents, he got a knot in his stomach. He just was afraid of their reaction. He told them about the surgeries he was going to have to become a female. His parents were shocked. They couldn't believe it. They disagreed with Karl's decision, but they knew they can not stop him from getting the surgeries.

Karl knew that he had a long, a difficult future ahead of him and that he should be patient to get what he wanted. And, those knots in the stomach came more often as he tried to explain his situation to more people.

After a few years of hardship, Karl was now Anna. Anna was a dancer and she danced in clubs. She also had an Instagram page with a large following, telling her story of how she became who she is now.
