Una metáfora sobre las oportunidades | Reflexión [ESP-ENG]

Las oportunidades de la vida no esperan sentadas a que las tomemos.
Nos pasan por el frente, algunas veces a toda velocidad, y otras veces, lentamente.
Podemos esperarlas desde nuestro lugar conocido, pero también ocurre que podemos buscarlas intencionalmente.
En ocasiones, somos prevenidos de su llegada. Sabemos en cuánto tiempo debemos estar atentos, lo que tenemos que hacer para aprovecharla.
En otras ocasiones, se nos presenta algo tan deprisa, que solo podremos tomarlo sin tanta planificación, prácticamente con lo que tenemos encima.
A veces hay que hacer fila y ser espectador de la felicidad de las otras personas, ver la oportunidad en sus vidas, hasta que llega nuestro turno.
Me ocurre que una vez que empiezo a hacer una fila, no hay manera posible de que me salga de ella.
No veo a todas las personas que están delante de mi, solo puedo ver el objetivo, y a mi misma, caminando hacia él.
Recuerdo que una vez, de pequeña, me frustré muchísimo porque, luego de invertir varias horas escogiendo prendas a mitad de precio en Traki, y de hacer por un buen rato la fila para pagar, se decidió que nos íbamos, con las manos vacías.
Recuerdo cómo me sentí y creo que ese momento determinó una parte de mi personalidad. Lejos de ser una situación superficial, es algo que me ha ayudado a terminar todo lo que he empezado en mi vida, desde lo más insignificante, hasta lo más valioso.
La paciencia dirigida hacia un objetivo trae buenos resultados.

Hay oportunidades que decidí dejar atrás por completo. A veces pienso en ello, aunque intento no hacerlo demasiado.
Otras oportunidades las he dejado pasar "sin querer", precisamente, por no haber estado lista en ese momento. Creo que la vida se trata también de eso.
Aprovechar una oportunidad que se nos presenta es como tomar un bus o un tren. Nos puede ayudar a recorrer largas distancias, nos hace más corto el camino hacia nuestro objetivo.
Pienso que nuestra vida se forma a partir de los momentos en los que elegimos montarnos en un bus, nos bajamos de él, esperamos un poco en la estación, andamos a pie, divisamos otro a lo lejos y lo tomamos... y así, hasta llegar a donde queremos.
Esta reflexión es resultado de haber visto a una amiga correr el día de hoy, literalmente, para montarse en "el bus" de su vida.
Desde otro lado nos ha llamado, horas más tarde, y nos ha dicho que todo salió bien😊

Life's opportunities don't just sit there waiting for us to take them.
They pass in front of us, sometimes at full speed, and other times, slowly.
We can wait for them from our familiar place, but it also happens that we can intentionally seek them out.
Sometimes we are forewarned of their arrival. We know how long to watch for it, what we need to do to take advantage of it.
At other times, something is presented to us so quickly that we can only take it without much planning, practically with what we have on hand.
Sometimes we have to stand in line and be a spectator of other people's happiness, to see the opportunity in their lives, until it is our turn.
It happens to me that once I start standing in line, there is no possible way I can get out of it.
I don't see all the people in front of me, I can only see the target, and myself, walking towards it.
I remember once, when I was a little girl, I was very frustrated because, after spending several hours choosing half-price clothes in Traki, and standing in line for a long time to pay, it was decided that we were leaving, empty-handed.
I remember how I felt and I think that moment determined a part of my personality. Far from being a superficial situation, it is something that has helped me to finish everything I have started in my life, from the most insignificant to the most valuable.
Patience directed towards a goal brings good results.

There are opportunities that I decided to leave behind completely. Sometimes I think about it, although I try not to do it too much.
Other opportunities I have passed up "unintentionally", precisely because I was not ready at the time. I think that's what life is also about.
Taking advantage of an opportunity that comes our way is like taking a bus or a train. It can help us travel long distances, it makes the road to our goal shorter.
I think that our life is shaped by the moments when we choose to get on a bus, get off, wait a bit at the station, walk, spot another one in the distance and take it... and so on, until we get to where we want to go.
This reflection is the result of having seen a friend of mine running today, literally to get on the "bus" of her life. From somewhere else she called us, hours later, and told us that everything went well😊.
