An almost wasted day

The week was really hectic for me and I was really looking forward to have a lazy weekend.
But my aunt was moving to a new apartment and asked me to come and help her.
I remember I did the same thing last year around the same time. Time goes away so fast.

She had asked me to come help her pack from the old place to the new place. But I got occupied throughout the day and got back in the evening.
So I was supposed to meet her at the new place the next day instead.

From our chat, I had it in my head that since I didn’t go to her on Friday, she packed the things to the new place. So she just wanted me to come and help her arrange and clean on Saturday.

I was supposed to wash and clean on Saturday but I thought it would delay me so I just went with my kid sis to the new place. We got there and I called her, only to hear that, she’s not there yet. She said she is still packing her stuff at the old place and was waiting for a truck that would transport everything.
She said we should wait for about an hour and find something to eat.

My kid sis thought it’s a great opportunity to take pictures.
I was just bothered about the fact that, I didn’t pick my phone charger.

After the pictures, we sat down for a while just waiting.

Then we had to do some calculations to see if we had enough money to order food. We eventually agreed to just order and leave the rest to God.

Waiting for the food was another struggle. It did arrive at the estimated time and we got straight into business.
Did we like it? No. But did we eat? Of course

After we were done, we had already spent over 2 hours sitting there. So I called my aunt and she gave me a story. According to her, the truck came with the people to pack the things but the truck driver said he wasn’t aware the things were on the third floor so they have to make adjustments to the initial price. While this was going on, the people were packing the things into the truck. My aunt and the truck driver couldn’t come to and agreement so the truck driver asked his people to pack the things from the truck back into the apartment which they did.
Then he finally came to an agreement with my aunt and the people were asked to pack the things to the truck again.

So my aunt asked that we continue waiting as they would be done with the packing soon.
After over an hour, she called to tell us she is now leaving and would be there soon.

At this point, we were so tired of sitting there and I was dozing off.

She finally came after over 4 hours of waiting.

We got to work straight away and we worked for over 2 hours.

When they brought in one of the couches, we noticed some water had spilled on it. I wanted to take a little break but I was so dirty to sit on the couch so I knelt on it, on the exact spot where the water had spilled. Only to realize that it was bleach and not water.

It was too late cause it had already stained my favorite cargo pants.

I went to sit on the balcony while watching for the electrician to fixed all the lightening issues.

We were so tired and hungry, we got home after 10 pm with the excuse that, we would be back on Sunday to help her clean.
