In this video, I'll review **Aquatus**, the new Water Splinter Summoner that will be released on the Riftwatchers Expansion! This is the first of a small 6-video series in which I'll talk about the new Summoners that will surely shake things up in Splinterlands! ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmbWu8ou4NqFMZ7n87fMqpX6K7AVoYEHiuGWuQhQGG5i9d/riftwatchers.png) This summoner gives the **Backfire** Ability (*If an enemy misses this Monster with an attack, the attacker takes 2 damage*) to your whole team. Considering that the Water Splinter is full of **powerful high-speed cards** (like Djinn Oshannus, Water Elemental and Diemonshark) that are already commonly played and are considered to be "meta", **you surely won't run out of Monsters to combo with Aquatus**, dealing a lot of damage by dodging and backfiring. Not only that, but the Water Splinter has a few of high-speed Monsters that have the **Dodge** ability (+25% dodge chance): Water Elemental, Serpent of Eld, Phantom of the Abyss, and Mischievous Mermaid. Not only is a hell of a headache to hit these Monsters in normal circumstances (who never missed 4 attacks in a row against the Phantom of the Abyss?), but **they'll be able to hit HARD with the Backfire ability**.
