Learning something new is an experience that has two sides: it can be fun and challenging or it can be boring and complicated. We know that each person learns things in a different, totally different way, so we often make the mistake of thinking that people learn quickly in the same way we learn in a certain subject and that's not exactly how it works.

Talking about this, we can consider some details such as, for example, being patient with the person who is in the learning process, new things are always scary and even if it is something really easy, this new knowledge can hold people back until they get used to it. that's what you're learning. I can say that I am living proof of this, which is what I would like to share with you.

All of this goes back to my time in high school, those years were really cool and fun several times in my life, I got to know and learn a lot of new things at that time and that really helped me grow as a person. Talking about the subjects, the learning process is something incredible, because even though we are sensationally adept at some specific subject, we can be horrible at others and this seems to even scare the people around us, but for me this is super normal, it’s something I’ve carried since that time.

Mathematics and Physics were two subjects that I loved studying, I always liked numbers and calculations and both had a lot of that, in particular physics had many other elements and experiments that fascinated me in every way, even though I never had the dream of following this path. direction, I was amazed at everything it represents, like concave and convex mirrors or that heat expands forms of matter while cold contracts them, things like that from our daily lives, but shown with science, with explanations that you would never even imagine that exist. I can't forget the formulas and their tips to remember them like the ice cream formula or grandpa's formula (I leave it to you to search on the Internet).

Thermal expansion is something that I will always remember due to the professor's explanation, after all, when you notice that a door that closed perfectly, stops closing and ends up “locking”, it is because it has undergone some expansion, so its size even though millimetric, has changed in relation to the rest of the portal, which is why the door no longer closes like it used to. I was always extremely nerdy with these subjects and my grades were generally the highest in the class, not to mention that I understood how everything worked very easily, so this facility earned me a lot of good and bad nicknames, but I didn't even care, I really enjoyed myself. I had fun with these two subjects and was always looking forward to the arrival of the corresponding class.

On the other hand, Art and Biology subjects were stressful for me, I was never good at them, especially in Art and this is something that I still have in my life, my wife is always fighting with me, but I don't know how to do almost anything manual or help my children a lot in their school work, if it doesn't involve numbers or computers I'm a denial. I remember that the Art subject was always difficult because the teachers made us do a lot of things like this: drawings, geometric shapes, cardboards, history research on arts, theater, origami and many things like that and I have no patience for them.

I learned gradually, I improved a little here and there, but I often had to ask my mother or other classmates for help who were more delicate with these things. In biology, that much stuff related to animals and plants, evolution, chromosomes, I felt a lot of difficulty too, but in this case, whenever something new arrived I struggled to learn it there that day, but after a few hours of study I started to understand better, which already showed the difference with mathematics and physics, for example, that I generally understood everything on the same day, in the classroom.

Finally, this led to other comments like: “how can you be so good at some subjects and so bad at others”, so since then I already knew how to defend myself by simply saying that no one is the same as no one and that we have different skills, some know how to locate themselves anywhere without a GPS, others do manual work with excellence and other people are good with numbers and so on, we are all unique and have different learning speeds and that is normal.

That's why I say that we misjudge people, because if we find it easy to learn something, other people may have difficulty and vice versa, which is why everyone has to try to improve what is already easy to learn and try to balance it with what It doesn't get into your head at all, anyway, each of us has some amazing ability and that's what matters!

Aprender algo novo é uma experiência que têm dois lados: pode ser divertido e desafiador ou então pode ser algo chato e complicado. Sabemos que cada pessoa aprende as coisas de uma forma diferente, totalmente distinta, então muitas vezes cometemos o erro de achar que as pessoas aprendem de forma rápida igual aprendemos em algum determinado assunto e não é bem assim que funciona.

Falando sobre isso, podemos considerar alguns detalhes como, por exemplo, ter paciência com a pessoa que está em processo de aprendizagem, a novidade sempre assusta e mesmo que seja algo realmente fácil, esse conhecimento novo pode emperrar as pessoas, até que elas se acostumem com isso que está aprendendo. Posso dizer que sou uma prova viva disso, sendo o que gostaria de compartilhar com vocês.

Tudo isso remete ao meu tempo de ensino médio, aqueles anos foram bem legais e divertidos várias vezes em minha vida, conheci e aprendi muita coisa nova naquela época e isso me ajudou demais a crescer como pessoa. Falando sobre as matérias, o processo de aprendizagem é algo incrível, pois por mais que sejamos sensacionalmente aptos em alguma matéria especifica, podemos ser horríveis em outas e isso parece que até assusta as pessoas ao nosso redor, mas, para mim é super normal isso, é algo que carrego desde aquela época.

Matemática e Física eram duas matérias que eu amava estudar, sempre gostei de números e cálculos e ambas tinham bastante disso, em especial física tinha muitos outros elementos e experimentos que me fascinavam em tudo, apesar de nunca ter tido o sonho em seguir caminho por esse rumo, ficava admirado com tudo o que ela representa, como espelhos côncavos e convexos ou que o calor expande as formas de matéria o frio as contrai, coisas assim do nosso dia a dia, mas mostradas com ciência, com explicações que você nunca nem imagina que existam. Não posso esquecer das fórmulas e suas dicas para lembrá-las como a fórmula do sorvete ou do vovô (deixo para vocês pesquisarem na Internet).

Dilatação térmica é algo que sempre lembrarei pela explicação do professor, afinal quando você perceber que uma porta que fechava perfeitamente, para de fechar e fica “travando”, é porque ela sofreu alguma dilatação, então seu tamanho mesmo que milimétrico, mudou em relação ao restante do portal, por isso a porta não fecha mais como antes. Sempre fui nerd ao extremo com essas matérias e minhas notas eram geralmente as maiores da sala, sem contar que pegava muito fácil o funcionamento de tudo, por isso, essa facilidade me rendia muitos apelidos bons e ruins, mas nem me importava, eu realmente me divertia com essas duas matérias e sempre ficava ansioso pela chegada da aula correspondente.

Em contrapartida, as matérias de Arte e Biologia eram tensas para mim, nunca fui bom nelas, principalmente em Arte e isso é algo que tenho até hoje em minha vida, minha esposa vive brigando comigo, mas eu não sei fazer quase nada manual ou ajudar muito meus filhos nos trabalhos deles da escola, se não envolve números ou computadores sou uma negação. Lembro que a matéria de Arte sempre foi sofrida porque os professores passavam para nós fazer muitas coisas do tipo: desenhos, formas geométricas, cartolinas, pesquisas de história sobre artes, teatro, origamis e muitas coisas desse tipo e não tenho paciência nenhuma para elas.

Fui aprendendo gradualmente, melhorei um pouco aqui e ali, mas muitas vezes tive que pedir ajuda para minha mãe ou outros colegas de classe que tinham mais delicadeza com essas coisas. Na biologia aquele tanto de coisa relacionada a animais e plantas, evolução, cromossomos, senti uma boa dificuldade também, mas neste caso, sempre que chegava uma coisa nova eu sofria para aprender ali no dia, mas depois com umas boas horas de estudo começava a entender melhor, o que já mostrava a diferença com a matemática e física, por exemplo, que geralmente eu já entendia tudo no mesmo dia, na sala de aula.

Por fim, isso rendia outros comentários do tipo: “como você pode ser tão bom em algumas matérias e tão ruim em outras”, então desde essa época eu já sabia me defender falando apenas que, ninguém é igual a ninguém e que temos aptidões diferentes, alguns sabem se localizar sozinhos em qualquer lugar sem um GPS, outros fazem trabalho manual com excelência e outras pessoas são boas de números e assim por diante, todos nos somos únicos e temos diferentes velocidades de aprendizado e isso é normal.

Por isso digo que julgamos errado as pessoas, pois se temos facilidade em alguma coisa que aprendemos, outras pessoas podem ter dificuldade e vice-versa, por isso cada um tem que buscar melhorar naquilo que já é fácil em aprender e tentar equilibrar com aquilo que não entra na cabeça de jeito nenhum, de qualquer forma, cada um de nós tem alguma habilidade sensacional e isso que importa!
