What are some of your all-time favorite restaurants?

Greetings to all Hiveans! Memories to fill in the #memoirmonday, the host being @ericvancewalton. Anyone who had a wonderful time with family and friends dining, in any of your favourite restaurant, you are welcome to be a paŕt of this weekly enries

Having food in restaurant was far from imagination during my childhood days. I could see my mother struggling in kitchen, preparing meals three times a day. Actually, too many reasons I could find for this. Firstly, we did not have good hotels around else, we have to go the city, which is too far away. Secondly, my father was particular in eating food prepared at home rather than from hotel. This did not apply only for us, but to all our neighbourhood. 90% families prepared food at home.

I started going to restaurants when I joined my college which was faraway from my home. Usually, we friends gathered in a restaurant either for any of our birthday celebration or for any kind of good news. The last gathering was on the convocation day , when each of us were felicitated with the Degree certificate and a lovely file.

Once I got married, I had to leave the country along with my husband. There, I was occupied with a job as librarian where I got rarely a weekend leave., ie., 2 days at a stretch. So, the normal visit to restaurants was twice a month initially. Later, it became all weekends, just to free myself from kitchen atleast one single day.

There was no particular restaurants or any favourites. But yes, we preferred pakistani restaurants to Indian restaurant. The food was too good. And also, we never failed to visit our native country restaurant to taste our state cuisine, once a while. That was infact the memorable time, a time spent with my family. Some beautiful memories never stay longer.

After 13 years of joy, one day I had to return home with my children. My daughter has to pursue her higher studies in engineering, which was costly in this country. So we decided to relocate back to our homeland.

Once again, I had to take up a job in a nearby school as a librarian. This time it was just me and my kids which meant I was supposed to run from pillar to post for all their needs. I was the one attending the PTA meeting for my children. On one such occasion, my daughter took me to a famous restaurant named "All Spice" and the very next time to "Ramees". These two are the top rated hotels in our city. From then on, along with my family we visited these hotels several times. Sorry, I do not have a picture of these restaurants.

All the text typed and photos captured are my property. Thankyou friends for the wonderful visit.
