Scenes From Our Marsh : Nº I

This is my first chance to share some photos from my neighborhood marsh...more importantly, bird photos from the marsh. As some may know, I live in what is called the Driftless Region of North America. It is also a wildlife refuge along the Mississippi River; all of that said, this area is fortunate enough to have plenty of wildlife pass through it. Thanks to a new lens for my Canon T, I'm finally able to get some better photos of the birds I love to watch.

This share features a couple of herons I was lucky enough to photograph from the marsh trails.

I've been looking forward to posting #featherfriends photos for a while now, and I finally made it! I've always been fascinated by water birds...more to come in soon!

Nice. I like to go to nature. Wandering in the wood, crossing meadows etc but life is concentrated aroud water.
You are lucky to have such a big flooded area nearby.
