Mushroom Monday in the Driftless

Fungi in the Driftless. That was my goal this morning to find while scoping out a new trail for my morning hike. I found a bluff that was facing northwest, and found plenty of fungi in the area. I decided to focus on this tree for today's #mushroommonday post.

This bunch was on a fallen birch. From the looks of the area, the dead birch are a breeding ground for this type of fungi.

It was yet another brisk day, but the fungi find made the early morning walk fun.
