Beer Saturday : Toppling Goliath

For this week's #beersaturday adventure, I found a fresh four pack of Toppling's Double Dry Hop Kind Sue. I love my Sues, and the Kings are very good. The double dry hopped Sue definitely intrigued me...so I went ahead and plunked down some US fiat for this four-pack.

This is a wonderful, wonderful double IPA. It's very citrus in flavor and has zero booze taste to it. Which, as always, is incredible. At a solid 7.8% ABV, you'd never know you were drinking an ale. Let alone a double IPA.

So what was today's lead up to enjoying this wonderful beer? Well, quite a bit, actually. I have been on daughter duty, full time, the pats three days. Today, we actually ventured to a local Maritine Musuem to take in some Gaugins, German expressionists, and even a Van Gogh. A "well to do" local family has invested quite a bit into art, and set up the museum to share their investments with the community (and get the tax breaks, no doubt!)

Our daughter was the quite the art enthusiast. She definitely appreciated the 3D exhibit:

After three days of full on dad duty, wow, this beer hit the spot! With my wife back in town as I write this, I believe I might drink all four of these tonight. Hey, I've earned it, lol.
