My share for #beersaturday, as inspired by @detlev.

Today was the day that had the La Crosse area's St. Patrick's Day parade. I'm partial to the day; my fondest memory (or worst) was on St. Patrick's day 2020. I remember that was the day COVID erupted over here and the bars/restaurants/public places were all closing. A friend and I sprinted to a local watering hole called the Bodgega, and with a 5 PM shut down looming, we drank a few beers with others as fast as we could. It was an experience I'll never forget...

My father's family originated from the Kilkenny, Ireland area in the 18th century to Canada, and then to La Crosse, Wisconsin. So I have a little bit of Irish in me...so I needed to get the Irish can koozie out today:

And with the weather decent, it was time to BBQ up some chicken.

It all turned out great, and the beer helped. Oh yeah, what about the beer? I'll ask my new buddy Gemini to assist with a description :

Sierra Nevada's Hazy Little Thing IPA is a New England-style IPA boasting a vibrant aroma bursting with tropical and citrus fruit – think ripe mango, guava, pineapple, passionfruit, and zesty grapefruit with a hint of resinous pine. Its appearance is classically hazy, a straw-gold color with a dense white head. The flavor showcases this juicy hop character with a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel. Mango, pineapple, and citrus dominate, complemented by subtle malt sweetness and a restrained bitterness. Oats and wheat build the luxurious body, while aggressive dry-hopping with varieties like Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic yields the vibrant profile. This unfiltered IPA intentionally highlights the raw, expressive nature of the hops. Hazy Little Thing masterfully balances intense hop character with drinkability, showcasing Sierra Nevada's expertise in both classic and newer IPA styles. It's a beer that will satisfy hopheads seeking complexity and fruit-forward flavors, while also appealing to those who enjoy a bit more balance in their IPAs.

Yep, I couldn't have said it any better than that. Thanks Gemmy...
