Love And Death

Abner was kneeling on the floor with cold drops of sweat on his face and shivering. The barrel of a gun was on his forehead and the gun was in the hand of Abraham, his superior and the one whom Abner had fallen in love with.

Abner looked into Abraham's soulless gray eyes with his ocean blue eyes filled with tears.
"Please don't kill me."

"You still don't want to admit that the organization assigned you to spy on me?"

"I swear it's not like that. I was only chasing you because I was worried about you."

"A young man with long golden and pink hair as innocent as angels and an angelic innocent face and a dignified demeanor. Yes, Abner, I agree, the organization made a good choice to spy on me."

Abner clasped his hands in prayer and said in a pleading tone:
"No, no, it's not like that, please take my word for it."

Abraham stared at Abner's terrified and tearful face for a few moments and thought to himself:
"What should I do? Definitely the best thing to do is to empty a bullet into his brain. If he is a spy and reports my activities to the organization, all my efforts will be for naught."

He put his hand on the trigger and wanted to shoot, when Abner said:

Memories of the past came alive in Abraham's mind. At that time, he and Abner were both small children and while their peers were playing with swings and slides, they were receiving combat training in the organization.

At first, every time he heard the sound of a gunshot, he would cower in fear, and it was Abner who would come to him and hug him until his heartbeat returned to normal.

He said to himself:
"These things are just a bunch of memories. I should just think about the present. I shouldn't let my emotions take over me."

Abner smiled tearfully.

Tears gathered in Abraham's eyes and then flowed down his cheeks.

Abner closed his eyes and Abraham shot. Blood splattered in the air and splashed on Abner's face and Abraham's clothes. Abner fell to the ground and Abraham felt that his heart had also been shot.

He got down on his knees and put his hand on his chest. He felt that all his energy had suddenly left his body and he had no life left. A memory from his childhood flashed in his mind again. Abner was telling him:
"Don't worry, when we grow up, we'll leave here together. We'll go somewhere far away and stay together forever."
