Hi guys,

Welcome to my awesome blog as I love to call it. ( you may disagree, that is your own wahala).

Well, I’ve been battling pretty well these days especially because my off days wasn’t busy for me as I always find a way of making it busy. I’ve made it to diamond II and am afraid I won’t make it into champion this season. This is because we have less than a day for this current season to end and I’ve not made it halfway past diamond II yet.

No worries, I didn’t expect to be in Diamond II at this stage so I think it’s pretty massive. This time round my concentration is on getting very good cards which will help me play the game with so much flexibility.

This is an entry to the Splinterlands battle mage secretes contest. With the battle mage contests you are given a Ruleset which you have to find. Being in a higher league makes it relatively easy to get the ruleset because you are presented with up to 3 rulesets per game. Being in a league such as bronze or silver makes it really hard to get it. I remember back in the day it could take me a whole week of battling and exhausting my energy bar and I still wouldn’t get the Ruleset. This time round it’s different. Enough of the talk, let’s get into it.

This week the Ruleset is

Healed out: All healing abilities are removed from summoners and monsters.

What this means is that your summoner will not grant you the ability to heal any of your cards in battle and if in case you have a healer amongst your cards or a card which self heals all that is taken away.

Since I am in diamond the other rulesets are

Taking sides: neutral monsters may not be used In battles and unprotected: Monsters do not have any armour and do not get armour from abilities or summoner buffs.

With this kind of Rulesets, this is how I’d normally go. Because you don’t have the chance to use cards which can heal it’s always advisable to go with cards which have loads of health. Fielding in melee cards is also a plus as none of the cards will be protected by the shield.

Fielding in a stunner card can also be helpful as it will stop the opponent's strong cards from attacking which is mostly in first position.

Also fielding in cards with a lot of speed will help you evade their attacks.

This is how I lined up for battle.

With a mana of 99 Yodin Zaku, a fire summoner was my number one choice. With Yodin Zaku it grants all your cards +1 health, all range cards get +1 attack and all your cards revive the blast ability.

Before renting Yodin Zaku I made sure to get very good range cards which also have the close range ability.

So my first card was a melee card in the person of Grum. Grum is a great card but with its low speed, it’s a big disadvantage when you put in your lineup. This is because 3 out of 4 times it is mostly last to attack. With a melee attack of 4 and health of 10, it was hard to pass it by. And then with its bloodlust ability, I had to go in for it even though it might have been a wrong move.

Next in line was Tinder Lock, a range card with 3 range attacks and 10 health. It has the close-range attack ability and with Yodin’s stats buff it was boosted to a 4-range attack.

Next in line was molten ash golem, another range card with the close range ability. Another card with a lot of health but a disadvantage of just 1 speed as well.

Next was Lava Launcher a card I recently acquired. It’s a range card with close range ability, 3 range attacks and 3 speeds. It’s only downfall is that it has 5 health and not suitable for first position because of its low health.

Next was countess sinash, a card I love so much all though it has low health. It doesn’t look like it’s a dangerous card from outside but boy it’s a beast on the battle field.

The last card was a magic card which I honestly didn’t think I was going in for. I was out of strong range cards so instead I decided to go in for a strong magic card which I knew would most likely be killed in battle.

Let’s rumble.

You know a high mana battle doesn’t just favour one side but it favours both players.

My opponent was prepared as well but it was unfortunate because his cards didn’t have great health stats.

The first to attack was my countess Sinash on my opponent’s night ghoul. This card was in the second position hence the blast affected the first and third card. His silent sha-vi made the next move on my only magic card djinn inferni almost killing it.

Djinn opted to fight with his last breath launching an attack on my opponent's second position card once more and almost killing it off.

Next in line to make an attack was my lava launcher range card which made a kill. Its attack was on my opponent’s second card and it did a good job of killing it.

The next attacks were revenge attacks cause I killed their card. They focused all their energy on grum trying hard to vanquish it. Grum was able to hold on allowing my tinder lock to make a kill. It made a successful attack on my opponents cursed windeku and killed it.

Up came his queen of crows into the first position with the close range ability. Unfortunately for it, she was almost dying but could make an attack on grum. Grum retaliated and killed it off with ease.

So I was able to kill 3 of my opponent's cards in the first round after a rough long first round. He was not able to kill any of mine though.

When his cabalist came into the first position after I killed his queen of crows it was killed pretty easily by my countess sinash. After this, my grum was vanquished as well. It had pretty low health even after it killed and had boosted stats so I kind of expected it to die.

It was a pretty easy battle after my grum was killed. Up came my timberlock into the first position and seized the limelight with its 4-range attack. It attacked his first position card leaving it lifeless and also performing the blast ability on his one and only card left in second position. It then took another card to simple kill them off.

I like me a high mana battle. This allows me to use cards which have very high mana and are also good as well. When the mana is high and I have the chance to use fire or earth cards I am always 90% confident of winning the battle. This is cause I know my opponent's card 90% of the time won’t be a match for my cards.
