A new update to the Splinterlands store has arrived and it seems that some things have changed a lot regarding Loot Chests, one of them is the limit quantity of batch 1 which has been increased, but while some were lucky others not so much with the chest prizes .

When loot chests were implemented in Splinterlands, they arrived in Gwen's Glint Shop with a very high quantity available in the first batch. The minor Chest had 1000 units, the Major Chest 500 and the Ultimate Chest 100. Also, note the values, which are 100, 500 and 2500 in that order. Quickly, as the Splinterlands team saw that this quantity would greatly increase the mintage of soulbound cards, they reduced this quantity drastically, so that players would have to pay more when purchasing many units because when the batch passes, there is an increase in price.

It's worth mentioning that this update brought something to the chests that wasn't available in the game's old chests, which is ENERGY! With more energy, players will be able to play more matches, earning more Glint and also the game's governance token, the SPS - Splinterlands Shard.

Also, some interesting facts about energy is that it recovers at a rate of 1x energy per hour, reaching a limit of 50 energy. This raises the following question, what would happen if energy was received from the chest, if my energy supply was 50/50? The team with this in mind, allowed your total energy to exceed 50 in this specific case, remembering that recovery only works while the energy bank is below the 50 limit.

After the reduction in the number of chests available in the first batch, the Splinterlands team decided to increase this quantity again, meaning that the number of Ultimate available in the 1st Batch is now 30, which is why it appears as 10 after I have used 20x when opening packs, which you can see below.

Another big change was in the price of the Major Chest, which was previously 500 Glint and now rose to 750, that is, a 50% increase in price, with the same loot probabilities. That was the reason I tried to open the Ultimate Chest this time, but it didn't work out very well... Remembering that with the same amount of Glint last season I managed to get two Legendaries from the Major Chest.

The ultimate chest, the most expensive chest in terms of glint and which has the best percentages, is it? It's personal, it seems that this time luck didn't smile on me, because in the first 10 chests opened, more than half of them were just potions, but at least cards came... But it wasn't interesting either, because I didn't get any Epic or Legendary. I spent 25k Glint on each of the 10x Ultimate chest packs and nothing interesting came out. It would have been better to have bought Lengendary Draw.

However, as it is a matter of luck and probability, sometimes good things will come and sometimes bad, in my case it ended up not being so good, but I heard from some users who managed to get some beta packs with some chests, so It depends on the quantity and quality of chests that each one opens. One thing is for sure, if you don't open any chests, that's when you won't gain anything!

We talked about energy above in the post and look how many energies came in 10x ultimate packs... Simply half of the loot was energy, with the remaining 5 being 3x potion, 1x merit and 6x common cards, something which is not expected from an ultimate chest.

It's worth remembering that I opened 50x Major Chest chests in the last season, before this update that changed its price by 50% more and I got it with 25k glint 2x legendary

Quando os baús de loot foram implementados no Splinterlands, eles chegaram na Gwen's Glint Shop com uma quantidade disponível no primeiro batch bem alta. O minor Chest tinha 1000 unidades, o Major Chest 500 e o Ultimate Chest 100. Ainda, observe os valores, que são 100, 500 e 2500 nessa ordem. Rapidamente, como o time do Splinterlands viu que essa quantidade aumentaria muito a mintagem de cartas soulbound eles reduziram essa quantidade drásticamente, para que fosse necessário para os jogadores pagar mais caro ao comprar muitas unidades porque ao passar de batch, há um aumento no preço.

Vale mencionar que essa atualização trouxe para os baús algo que não tinha nos antigos baús do jogo, que é ENERGIA! Com mais energia os jogadores poderão jogar mais partidas, ganhando mais Glint e também o token de governância do jogo, o SPS - Splinterlands Shard.

Ainda, algumas curiosidades sobre a energia é que ela recupera numa taxa de 1x energy por hora, chegando até o limite de 50 energias. Isso gera a seguinte dúvida, do que aconteceria se fosse recebido energia do baú, caso o meu estoque de energia estivesse 50/50? O time pensando nisso, permitiu que o seu total de energia ultrapassase os 50 nesse caso específico, lembrando que a recuperação só funcionan enquanto o banco de energia estiver abaixo do limite de 50.

Depois da redução no número de baús disponível no primeiro batch, o time do Splinterlands resolveu aumentar novamente essa quantidade, fazendo com que o número de Ultimate disponíveis no 1º Batch agora seja de 30, por isso aparece como 10 depois de eu ter usado 20x na abertura de packs, que você poderá conferir logo abaixo.

Uma outra grande mudança foi no preço do Major Chest, que antes era 500 Glint e agora passou para 750, ou seja, um aumento de 50% no preço, com as probabilidades de loot iguais. Esse foi o motivo de eu ter tentado abrir o Ultimate Chest dessa vez, mas não deu muito bom... Lembrando que com a mesma quantidade de Glint na season passada eu consegui pegar duas lendárias dos Major Chest.

O baú ultimate, o báu mais caro em termos de glint e que tem as melhores porcentagens, será? É pessoal, parece que dessa vez a sorte não sorriu para mim, porque nos primeiros 10x baús abertos, mais da metade deles foi só de poção, mas pelo menos vieram cartas... Só que também não foi interessante, porque não consegui nenhuma Épica ou Lendária. Gastei 25k de Glint em cada um dos packs de 10x baús Ultimate e não veio nada de interessante. Seria melhor ter comprado a Lengendary Draw.

Entretanto, como é uma questão de sorte e probabilidade, as vezes vai vir coisas boas e outras ruins, no meu caso acabou não sendo tão bom, mas eu ouvi de alguns usuários que conseguiram com alguns baús pegar alguns packs beta, então vai da quantidade e qualidade de baús que cada um abre. Uma coisa é certa, se você não abrir nenhum baú, é aí que você não vai ganhar nada!

Falamos sobre a energia mais acima no post e olha quantas energias vieram em 10x packs ultimate... Simplesmente metade do loot foi de energia, sendo que os 5 restantes foram 3x de poção, 1x de merit e 6x cartas comuns, algo que não é esperado de um baú ultimate.

Vale lembrar que eu fiz uma abertura de 50x baús Major Chest na última season, antes desse update que mudou o preço dele em 50% a mais e eu consegui com 25k de glint 2x lendárias
