splinterlands-goingthedistance-battlemagesecrets.png

This week we're going to test the power of your archers in Splinterlands! In the nft game ruleset called Going the Distance what matters is whether you can hit the enemy target with your units. Come and discover tips on how to do well with this rule and see how the week's battle between dragons (Quix the Devious) and fire (Pyro) went.

The big key to the play2earn Splinterlands game is the variety of options available, which is obtained by a larger collection of cards from the most diverse editions. Remembering that Chaos is a good start and Quix will show you why!

I'll be much appreaciated if you Upvote, Reblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

[ENGLISH VERSION]

📌 RULES // MATCH 📌

image.png

Source

Ruleset| In the "Going the Distance" rule, only archer monsters can be used. This reduces the range of options for assembling the team and means that users have to have strong cards that combine with archers like Quix himself, who was used in this match.

Match Rules| In this battle, in addition to the Going the Distance ruleset, we also had the presence of two more rules, further limiting the choices, which were Explosive Weaponry, which adds Blast to monsters and the other prevents healing. Furthermore, in this battle only 3 elements were available: Water, Fire and Dragon. Finally, the mana cap was medium with 29 mana pool to be able to choose interesting high-mana cards like Lava Launcher.

⚔️ ABOUT THE LINEUP ⚔️

Ally | I believe that even if the other elements were available (Earth, Death and Life), Quix would still be the best option in the right circumstances, because it reduces the damage of enemy archers that will come 100% in the Going the Distance rule and as it has also the rule of Explosive Weaponry, reducing enemy attack speed makes it so that allies can attack first and apply bast to enemies.

Enemy | Pyro was an OK choice, since in Blast the issue of Speed is important, but going against quix left him at a huge disadvantage. In general, the tank of both teams was similar, Lava Launcher is a card with great stats and a good price for what it offers in its kit. Furthermore, both teams decided to use two of Marty's monsters to buff the rest of the team.

👊 HOW WAS THE BATTLE? 👊

image.png

ROUND 0

The initial round of Buffs and Debuffs starts with a big advantage for my team, due to Quix. It reduced the attack of all enemy archers by 1 unit, and also nullified the enemy Pyro's +1 Speed, meaning that only my Summoner's effect had an impact on the battle.

image.png

ROUND 1

In Round 1, both Venari Marksrat were defeated, granting Martyr to the allies, but in my case, as my monster was in second position, two monsters were buffed by +1 status. Additionally, the opponent's other martyr monster was defeated and this time it buffed two monsters as well.

image.png

ROUND 2/ Final

In the Second Round, it was my other martyr monster's turn to be eliminated, giving a buff to my Tank and also to another DPS, PyreWatch. With my team's attacks going before his, I managed to eliminate the Blood Maker who had one of the opponent's biggest attacks, the rest of the DPS only had 1 attack that would be good for my Tank to handle.

In the third round, only the Tank was left with 3 HP and the other 2 DPS with just 1 HP, as my monsters have a higher speed than his, they would be the first to attack, causing the entire team to be eliminated.

🤔 CONCLUSION 🤔

This battle shows the importance of having a variety of Summoners available for use in your collection. This is because as Splinterlands is a game that the battle conditions change with each match with the rulesets and quantity of available mana it may be interesting to have a greater variety than a higher level, because there are summoners/monsters that are very strong in a given situation.

In this part we had an example of this in which even though the opponent had strong monsters in general and a reasonable summoner that guarantees Speed, mine was perfect for the "Going the Distance" rule because it applies -1 ranged attack and in addition countered the Pyro that gives +1 Speed. However, even if it was another summoner, the Speed debuff is generally strong in 99% of cases, unless the rule is to reverse the speed. In this case speed buff and debuff summoners are not good.
