Getting out of the SWAP.HIVE-SWAP.BUSD POOL

I've been using the swap.hive:swap.busd pool BEESWAP for well over a year now, as a place to park a few assets while I wait for other stuff to buy and enjoy a tasty 20% return...

However, given that Binance is probably scrapping BUSD by 2024, I thought it was probably a good time to sell said BUSD, so I just did, unpooled and swapped around $250 worth, and so I ended up with around 1300 Hive to play with.

I had a bit of a dilemma what to do with it, but I opted for the following:

  • swapped 200 Hive for HBD, this was partly a stables pool for me after all.
  • swapped 200 Hive for DEC and pooled another 200 with it, DEC is kind of like a stable coin in waiting!
  • swapped 150 HIVE for SWAP.MATIC and SWAP.BNB and pooled 150 Hive with each, for the BXT returns....
  • Bought a little CENT and CENTG, love those!
  • I've got around 200 Hive left which I'm just going to pool with DEC/ SPS/ VOUCHER as these become available....

Still some pretty tasty BXT returns in these two pools!

It's sad to see what was my favourite pool on BEESWAP go, or at least sad to exit it, early is sensible, I've had a good run and I'm reasonably happy with my alternatives!

I was just looking at the Swap.Hive : SPS pool and thinking it could be worth to lump more in there. Might do that this week and boost my earnings to buy more DEC.

You gotta know when to get in and out, and it looks like you do! I've been adding small bits to the pools as I like the passive income aspect to them. I may have to give CENT a look, as it seems a lot of people hold that token and use its tag in their posts.

Congratulations on your profits :) It's always difficult to leave something you enjoy following, though!

Only using the swap.hive:sps and the swap.hive:dec pools for now, but should definitely explore all the existing LP and diversify!

Never done such transactions yet, but I would like to get some HIVE.SWAP to learn.

I'm delaying my move with the liquidity that I have in that pool... 😃 I was thinking of removing my liquidity and swapping my BUSD into HIVE, but that's possible to do in small portions as of high slippage... So, I do exit the pools by a small amount every day...
Swapping BUSD into HBD and moving into savings is a logical move, but why would we do the simplest option... :) I was looking into MATIC-HIVE pool too

The slippage wasn't too bad for $250 worth, but probably the most you'd want to do in one go, the problem is the more people come out the higher the slippage for smaller amounts!

Yup! It's all about the timing... 😃
It's not a problem to pull out the liquidity... the problem is when you want to exchange BUSD to HIVE, or vice-versa... low liquidity, higher slippage...

So, if you don't want to do the exchange (for example, just transfer to Binance and spend BUSD), you can be the last to pull out the liquidity... ;)

What are you using to go from SWAP.HIVE to HIVE when there's no HIVE on Beeswap?

Uswap might have some or kswap.
There is a few out there. I don't have the links at hand right now :/

Nice.

swapped 200 Hive for DEC and pooled another 200 with it, DEC is kind of like a stable coin in waiting!

But for DEC, I will wait to pool it , until it reaches at at least 90 cents or more and pool it for stable coin like DAI.

It is a good move. Or should i say the only move. To get out early. On a personal note, i am actually frustrated that BUSD is being phased out. I keep asking myself if the regulators are right on this one. Maybe they are. Yet i still get sad that crypto feels like having a step forward then 2 steps back.

I prefer there to be a diversity of stable coins, now I don't hold anything other than HBD, I don't trust USDT, I don't trust Circle either!
