Introucing Reverio (formally Quello) - A question and answer platform built on Hive
It is with great joy we're happy to announce a new tool coming to Hive called, Reverio. Reverio is a Q&A platform built exclusively on Hive that allows you to ask, answer and reward valuable contributions to our community.
If you've been on Hive for a while you may remember Quello, which was the original version of this project which launched back in 2020, in the time during Quello's downtime, we've received many inquiries about its future, and I'm happy to say the platform will be returning very soon with a new and improved roadmap under the name Reverio.
Here's a sneak peak of what you can expect the site to look like:
Please note: Some of the above will change slightly in line with the additional features that are available will be incorporated into the new platform.
As we move closer and closer to launch, we'll begin to release specifics surrounding the roadmap, but we're happy to announce upon launch that a wide array of features that previously had available on Quello.

- Answer questions in a selection of different topics.
- Ability to post to blog or as comment held outside of your blog
- Ability to vote and downvote questions and answers.
- User profile with user questions, answers, followers, and following and ability to edit profile.
- Ability to indicate topics you know about and filter questions based on what you're interested in.
- Ability to save questions for later.
- Ability to vote, comment, and harness the awesome benefits that Hive provides.
- View related questions and check if a question has been asked prior to asking it.
- Light / Dark Mode
- Referrals
- Social Sharing
It's also difficult to ignore the fact that over the past few years, layer 2 tokens on Hive have continued to grow. As a result, we believe now is the ideal time to announce the launch of a new token that can be earned through Reverio and will enable us to offer more rewards for insightful questions and answers. As we get closer to launch, more details on the tokenomics, utilities, public sale, and airdrops will become available, but we feel this change will be one that will be happily received by the previous Quello users and the overall Hive community.
The team behind Reverio include both @tobias-g who originally developed the intitial version of @quello as well as the addition of @mmead28 who will be providing much need contributions to aid the overall growth of the platform.
So with that said, we're happy to let you know there will be a place for questions and answers on the Hive blockchain once again, and it'll be better than ever before. Over the coming couple of weeks, you can expect more sneak peeks of the platform, token news and new features coming to Reverio. We look forward to keeping you updated during our journey to the platform's relaunch.

Cool! Tbh I don't remember using Quello, although I follow it, but I miss Musing, the other Q&A platform that was active on Steem. There are too many Hive projects to keep track of.
Although we were live for a couple of months we struggled to get traction, but I think the way we plan to launch this time will get a lot of new eyes on the project.
Things like this just have no future until Hive itself has a large enough audience.
Minimum millions of active users because from that million only a small percentage will care to use a Q&A service that sneakily takes a cut.
Unfortunately it's chicken and the egg. Hive needs applications that's offer more than just long form content, of course usage is won't be that of Quora but what hive needs apps that innovating and creating new solutions to reasons why hive is used by everyone. Although on the outside it may seem just a question and answer platform but it will address more than that.
Also the beneficiaries any app takes are pretty trivial in the grand scheme of things and won't be a reason can succeed or not.
Yeah I agree Hive needs innovators to create things that attract and retain users.
I don't think mirroring a thing like Quora, which can only be successful with high participation is innovative at all though.
It's just like that other idea of "crow sourced fact checking on Hive" which only received bot comments as engagement... and frustrated the people running it.
HIVE fails to attract both users and builders in mass because the chain offerings are too limited.
Core developers need to step their game up and also stop auto funding go-nowhere-projects simply because they're all chummy with each other.
No damn innovation here bro.

If the platform will be Google-friendly from the point of SEO, it will bring thousands of new users to the Hive blockchain. So, glad to hear such a project is coming. I hope curators understand this too and will upvote Reverio posts well.
When I built Quello back in 2020, I wanted to make sure it was good to go from this perspective and that the whole site is server-side rendered with SEO in mind.
In addition to our token which we'll be able to reward users, we'll be launching a number of initiatives to incentivise delegation which will assist us in rewarding valuable content, one thing we feel we didn't capitalise on when we launched previously.
Interesting. I didnt know about Quello to be honest but it is an interesting idea. I hope it succeeds!

Very interesting. I was a pretty big user of Musing when it first came out. After it proved to be relatively unsustainable, I started to back off. Then they lost the delegation and everything kind of went to crap. I look forward to seeing how this does.

I think the fact that both (Musing & Quello) platforms required Hive to curate it was quite a tricky one as it follows both of their mission statements to reward valuable questions and answers and although I still definitely believe Hive is vital to this too, an additional token allows for another dynamic for that and opens up a range of other utilities to make the platform more dynamic. Although the first version will be Hive only, it won't be long until we put forward a few initiatives we'll be introducing to try and tackle this.
A second layer token always made the most sense for something like this. Also the ability to have answers only show up as comments. There was way too much abuse with the ninja stake back in the day. Had it been used properly to grow the account, it could have kept going after the delegation was pulled. Thinking long term is going to be vital for a project like this. The fact that you are taking things slowly is a good sign in my opinion.
Agreed. 2nd layer tokens will open up many possibilities.
I'm working on a 2nd layer token protocol, which I will be using to create a token for my own dApp that's currently under development. I'll be in touch when the core features are ready for review and feedback. Also working on the whitepaper.

Love to see new/old apps like this launching on hive.
My main two questions for it to be a success are simple.
Is there a simple onboarding process similar to leofinance or splinterlands to bring in new users.
Will there be some form of external revenue eg ads that will fund the new token and reward the users.
These have been the two main failings that have stunted the growth of most apps built on hive as opposed to the main ones which are continuing to grow in use and popularity. The hive pool is not enough to sustain an app and its development while the onboarding process leaves a lot to be desired.
Hope that it's a huge success and that your team is planning a successful business.
I will write a whole thread on this in the future along with a proposed user journey, but in short, 100% we can't rely on claimed accounts or delegation to onboard so we'll create a method that allows people to sign up to Reverio for free and onboard them to Hive in the process too.
Again something I'd cover within the tokenomics and overall vision for the site, however in short, yes, we'd use ads once we have enough to make it worthwhile, but this would be a small part of the ecosystem and in a bigger post I'll break down some of the ways we'd look to support not only the token, the rewarding of users and overall the business as a whole as you're correct it's hard to create anything sustainable on Hive reward pool alone and it'll be a part of platform as another app, it won't be the only thing keeping the project or the rewards afloat.

I'm not here to talk about Reverio, I think it's a good project, although I admit that I discovered them through a Reblog that @acidyo made to this post.
I'm just curious, because I know that icon, who designed the logo for Riverio? It's not for anything bad, it's just that being a Stock icon I've seen it already in Android apps and even in a cell phone repair store.

Great innovation, I never heard of quello before but now i know but it nice to know that a new feature is out Reverio from what i just read it is will be a great evolved for the Reverio because many people will love this feature i love it already the fact that one can ask questions and it is answered there is a big win and I can't wait to be part of this new evolution.
