ONE HUNDRED And ELEVEN Days Of Free Airdrops

No my title isn't click bait. There is a project that is dropping their valuable token on those who participate in their airdrop for the next 111 days. (Heck Yeah!) Free stuff is the best kind of stuff. How valuable is this token (It currently is sitting at $0.11 USD). What Is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a blockchain game built on the Hive Network. The game itself utilizes NFT's for game play. These NFT's can be won in battle and/or purchased from the official Splinterlands marketplace or many other secondary markets. Game play rewards players with cryptocurrency and in game assets. Earning a share of the SPS airdrop only requires that you hold Splinterland assets. Everything from the games NFT's (Cards) to Land and the games blog token SPT is included. The SPS airdrop has been running for awhile (currently on day 255/365) and many of you who haven't participated yet might feel as if you missed out. To that I would like to reminder you that you clicked this post because you seen my title advertising an airdrop that is ongoing for the next 111 Days (its not often we see an airdrop that last over 100 days). Everyday you procrastinate is another day you miss out on free tokens. Lets take a look at the official list of assets that qualify for airdrop points.

Allot of these assets can be attained for free in various ways. There is many Splinterland NFT giveaways on the Hive Blockchain, if you participate in them and win you will not only be winning that NFT but you will also add to your airdrop point total thus increasing the percentage of your daily SPS airdrop. DEC tokens are earned for game play and can be traded on any of the Hive Blockchain native dex(s) such as LeoDex and Hive-Engine. But my favorite and I believe most effective way to earn FREE SPS airdrop points is to collect the SPT token. The SPT token is the official blog token for the Splinterlands game and can be earned by blogging from the Splintertalk frontend or by using the SPT and/or SPLINTERLANDS tags on your Splinterlands related content that you post to the Hive Blockchain. Each SPT you earn will award 0.25 airdrop points (not too shabby for something you can attain for free). All listed airdrop assets are attainable for purchase either on the official Splinterlands site (NFTs, Chaos Legion Cards Ect) or secondary markets (Land, Sold Out Packs: Alpha, Beta, Untamed Ect). How To Claim

Did you take your old pal RentMoney's advice and earned yourself some airdrop points but are unsure how to claim your dropped SPS. No worries, even if you were already holding Splinterlands assets but haven't made a claim yet, all your SPS will be waiting for you inside your official Splinterlands wallet located on the official Splinterlands site. To get to your SPS wallet all you need to do is click the SPS crystal link at the top of the Splinterlands page that is directly next to your Splinterlands profile name. Once you do so a new window will pop up with all your easy to click claim options.

As you can see the Splinterlands game has support for many different chains outside of the Hive Blockchain. Some of these supported chains include but are not limited to WAX, Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum. If you hold assets on any of the supported chains you can claim your awarded SPS airdrops by clicking on the appropriate link within your SPS wallet section located in the Splinterlands game. Earning free tokens and claiming them doesn't get much easier than this. In fact this very post will help me earn SPS airdrop points as I will be using the #SPT and #SPLINTERLANDS tag on it. Each SPT token this post earns is another 0.25 airdrop points on top of the pile I already have. That is right I already got my grubby little hands on some airdrop points (are you going to do the same?).

Good and fun explanation of the token.
One thing, what do you think will happen to the price of SPS and DEC when the airdrop is over?

As things are DEC is likely headed back down to $1/1000. The game mechanics fights for that USD value. Add in the fact that the MINI NFT set that was a main DEC sink is shifting towards being used as an SPS sink and its likely $1/1000 DEC is in our very near future. I suspect we see the SPS price to take bump up in price when the airdrop is over to settle down to a higher low than we currently see. I don't think we see the true USD value of SPS until weeks/months after the governance system is put in place.

It's so wild seeing the airdrop come to a end here soon.
There's about to be a major reduction in the amount of liquid SPS going out from VCs and from the airdrop and also staking rewards.

There's only about 2/3 rewards that still need to kick on but from the sounds of it those are going to be slow progression rollouts. Things such as validators, land, ranked battles, guild battles and so forth still have to be activated. However even with them all activated they are about 2/3 the current supply being minted.

Not only that but the voucher store will be launching, more partnerships like with waka and new packs like Dice are this year. Huge potential!

I agree, its going to be interesting to see where the SPS USD value lands after all is said and done. On top of all the things you mention we still have the tokens main usecase which hasn't been implemented yet + burn mechanisms are coming. I suspect there will come a time we all look back at the current price of SPS and wish we purchased more (not financial advice).

I have been counting the days left of the airdrop too. I wish it was for longer, but oh well. A lot can happen in next year, so im ok with low prices too.
