Here's my entry for ZapFicMonday! Hope you will like it!

The shot was fired and all the racers sprinted from the start line. Tim jogged at his own pace - this was a marathon and he was not going to tire himself too quickly. He started to lag behind the pack of the runners and soon he realised he was lost.

He was lost but I really hope he picks up when needed

For marathon races, it's always great to maintain a steady tempo
.. not too fast and not too slow

Haaaa! this' funny, you know, when most folks think they can do better than everyone and have this laxity that at all cost I must be the best by default, that's just the inception of their failure. I love the composure of your write-up cheers.
