HoloZing - A Web3 Game That You Don't Want To Miss!

It has been a long while since I talked about new and interesting projects on Hive so here I am, introducing an upcoming Web3 game that is coming up next year, called HoloZing!

HoloZing is founded by @acidyo, who is someone that some of you might be familiar with. As mentioned in the whitepaper: HoloZing is a Web3 enabled monster catching, training, and battling game. It draws strong inspiration from classics like Pokémon and World of Warcraft.

Being a fan of Pokemon GO, this sounded exciting and I was also immediately attracted to the cute animal images! But hold your breath, as mentioned in the whitepaper, the game is not ready, but in the meantime, you can check around the website. This really reminded me of my Pokemon battling days, with the various types and it would really be interesting to see how it becomes reality in Web3!

On the website, you can see the team behind this. Being on Hive on 2 years now, there are bound to be some familiar names. All the best @jfuji! Awesome to see your name up there - you are an amazing writer!

$ZING is the game’s main currency. It is used for many things in-game, including:

• Item recharges (e.g. your Capturing Device)
• Crafting gear and gear upgrades/enhancements
• Crafting consumables along with other materials
• Cosmetics
• Tournament entry
• Progression

As of 21 Oct, the claimdrop of ZING token has started!

One can claim ZING through a number of ways. One of the easier ways is to delegate HP to @zingtoken. Already 1.2 million HP has been delegated!!!

If you are interested to know how the calculations work, here it is:
Zing tokens to delegation rewards are set to 200,000 Zing daily. This means that Zing goes out stake-weighted based on your amount of Hive Power delegation to the account. For instance if Alice delegates 100k Hive Power and Bob delegates 100k and the total Hive Power delegations are 200k, they will both receive 100k zing per day. If Alice or Bob change their delegation amount, it will reflect in the next hour's snapshot giving them the correct amount of claimable rewards based on the delegation at the time.

For a start, I have also delegated 30 HP to @zingtoken on 21 Oct (~1% of my HP), and at the time of writing, I have around 10 ZING already. Not bad for a start, even though there's not really a price for the token yet.

In the crypto space, sometimes you just have to go with your gut feeling and take a leap of faith. More importantly, as Hive users, I always feel that it's worthwhile to support interesting games and projects in whichever way we can, and hopefully the Hive community prospers and it's a win-win for all!
