Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Winning Quora Towershead Twice!

Time flies! Just completed the 84th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 3rd

So for the final result, we were 3rd out of 10 guilds and got 915 Merits and around 12 SPS! Back to podium and a good set of rewards. Kudos to everyone submitted their teams!

Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I won 6 of them this time! Finished 3rd within the guild.

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

So so proud of my Water lineup! Faced with Quora, my Water lineup made full use of their damage output and Blast, huffed and puffed, and overcame the opponent. It's hard to win Quora but I did it this time and it was a comprehensive victory with 5 cards still remaining. Kudos to Relenor Cleaver for the tanky stats to soak up all the damage as the secondary tank.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

Faced with another Legendary summoner, my lineup had to be on top form for this one. A Delwyn Dragonscale-led Magic team somehow managed to punch through an opposing tank with Void and an entire line of strong cards. Every card pulled their weight, with Venari Marksrat sacrificing for Martyr boost, Djinn Renova playing the tank role, Pelacor Conjurer chalking up the misses, Aves Sturgis with Weapons Training and Sola Ranjell busy healing.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth, Chimney Wallstop and Orella Abadon

If the first two battles were the toughest one, then this was the easiest battle for sure. My opponent fielded a weak lineup against mine with 3 Gladius cards, but on closer look, it was a suicidal lineup actually. How on earth did my opponent choose to put out 5 Ranged cards for a Return Fire battle?

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Hmm once again, it's another weak lineup from my opponent. You can't field 5 x 2 HP cards in a Poison battle?! Easy win once they all went down due to Poison, with Sea Monster finishing up the opposing tank.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

It's all about strategy! This was the second time I had to face Quora in this brawl and my Life lineup was up to the challenge. With 2 healer supporting Iziar, it was never going to be in any sort of trouble. Had a small scare when facing Quora because she was resurrected and was healed up, but my team held up and miraculously, I ended the battle with my entire lineup brand new. And it's a Level 1 lineup!

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

Little League battles are always tricky and this time, my lineup came up short against a Melee lineup. My damage output wasn't enough, and it is slightly disappointing for me because this wasn't a tough opponent.

Lol what happened? I am speechless. A "free win" I guess.

So that sums up my 7 battles for this brawl! 86% win rate, pretty awesome I think!
