Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - RECORD 8 OUT OF 8 WINS!

Time flies! Just completed the 48th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 8 battles this time and it was not an easy round. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 1st!!!

So for the final result, we got 1st out of 10 guilds and got 1131 Merits and around 18 SPS! Look at this phenomenal result - 46 wins and only 12 losses!

Individually, I had 8 fights this time and I have to say this is my best ever brawl performance. I won all 8 of them!

And this is the first time I topped the guild after 48 brawls! The feeling is so incredible! Extremely delighted! :)

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Alfredo

Kickstarting the brawl with my favourite Water lineups - I have written about Sea Monster countless times and a Level 3 Sea Monster is almost unbeatable in low mana Bronze fights outside brawls. No surprises this time as Sea Monster clocked a routine win for this 14 mana fight.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

I went full Melee mode in this one, with +2 Melee damage to all cards thanks to Daria Dragonscale and Demented Shark, and a Disintegrator to Demoralise my opponent. That proved to be enough as all my 6 cards remained standing at the end of the battle. Carnage Titan scored a rare MVP due to its damage output (8 per turn) which was crucial in this battle with a tricky Gladius card in the opposing lineup.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Once again, Sea Monster showed everyone how powerful it was in low mana battles. Its 1v1 record went up another notch after scoring yet another win against a Gladius card. The whole team remained standing at the end of the battle and that's 2 wins out of 2 for Sea Monster this brawl.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

Fortunately, I got to field a Water lineup again. This was as close as it got to a free win as my opponent fielded a team way below the 58 mana quota. It's hard to make a call for MVP in this one because this was too easy so I would give it to Wave Brood for protecting the team with Taunt.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

4th Water lineup for me! Low mana or high mana, I was able to adapt given my comfort level with these Water cards. I couldn't call upon Sea Monster or any Gladius cards due to Back to Basics battle modifier so I decided to go with a full Magic lineup. Of course, expecting the opponent to do the same, I went for Bortus as summoner and it made the difference!

Battle 6 - WIN

Opponent fled! It's weird because it's the 2nd time the Legendary Sola Ranjell failed to feature due to a fleeing opponent. Her 100% win record still stands though.

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

This was an incredibly tense battle. I didn't go for Water this time as Death lineups seem to suit Equaliser battles more due to Life Leech. Even with Thorns, Ever-Hungry Skull made the lineup because it was just too good to be left out. I struggled initially as the opposing team had a healer that was healing the tank non-stop but as the battle wore on, the Life Leech from Venari Bonesmith and Witch of Warwick turned the tide around. In case you are wondering, the Witch of Warwick ended the battle with 27 HP. Lol!

Battle 8 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

With one battle standing in my way for a 100% win for this brawl, it had to be an opponent with Quora Towershead!!! She has denied me twice (including the previous brawl) before but I easily dispatched this team within 4 rounds. Sea Monster's strong stats coupled with Magic Reflect meant that she had no chance. A rare win against this overpowered card and victory tasted sweeter as this meant I completed 8 out of 8 wins!

So that sums up my 8 battles for this brawl! A 100% win rate - only twice so far! Even winning Quora Towershead! Kudos to Sea Monster for 3 MVPs and it was really an enjoyable round this time!
