Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Larissa Kerato Makes Her Debut!

image.png

Time flies! Just completed the 132nd brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 9 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 4th!!

So for the final result, we were 4th out of 10 guilds and got 700 Merits and around 12 SPS!

Individually, I had 9 fights this time and I won 8 of them this time! Finished 4th within the guild! Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were no additional wins for me.

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Helmet Kharafax

An impressive 6-0 win here! Weapons Training from Aves Sturgis turned out to be star of the match as both adjacent cards contributed to the damage output. Helmet Kharafax put in an impressive performance with Bloodlust and Scavenge as well.

MVP: Aves Sturgis

Battle 2 - WIN

Opponent fled! Free win!

Battle 3 - WIN

Opponent fled! Another free win!

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

If this was a normal battle, I would have lost. But with Poison, Forgotten One was the better choice and indeed, even Gorth was not his match.

MVP: Forgotten One

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

I fielded my best lineup but was outdone by the opposing Gladius card, which had Blast. This made my Taunt tank useless and this strategy fell apart. Couldn't do much in this case.

MVP: None

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

A 6-0 win here! With the level of cards from both sides, this wasn't unexpected. Ever Hungry Skull is one of the best cards to take advantage of the Equaliser and Armor ruleset, and with Astral Entity pulling the strings behind the scenes, this lineup looked much tougher to handle.

MVP: Ever Hungry Skull

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Yet another 6-0 win!!! A very smooth brawl this time round! With Lose All Abilities and Rebirth, I had to pack as many cards as possible as well as cards with a ton of armor. Night Ghoul was the perfect fit here to take advantage of the Resurrect and Rebirth. In the end, it was all unnecessary as my lineup was Ranged cards did all the damage and brought the win home.

MVP: Night Ghoul

Battle 8 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato

A debut for Larissa Kerato, which was a Legendary card that I got recently. Both teams utilised the same strategy to make use of Martyr, and Drybone Raider was the star of the match, dealing 10 damage per turn after receiving 1 Martyr boost. That alone was enough to overpower the dreaded opposing Quora Towershead. Yay!

MVP: Drybone Raider

Battle 9 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

This was the right battle to field Gorth, and Gorth did what he was best at, winning this low mana battle!

MVP: Gorth

So that sums up my 9 battles for this brawl! A 89% win rate, back to Bronze fray and back to winning ways!

Review Of Gladius Cards

Since I am able to use Gladius cards now, I thought I should review selected cards that helped me win in the brawls. This week's feature is none other than Larissa Kerato! Of course, please let me know if you have any tips in using these cards too as I am keen to learn and improve too!

CARD: LARISSA KERATO
ELEMENT: DRAGON
RARITY: LEGENDARY
ABILITY: DOUBLE STRIKE, BLOODLUST

It's been a while since I had to review Gladius cards and we finally have a new card! Larissa Kerato is well deserving of her Legendary status because Double Strike and Magic damage is really a very powerful combination. As it's a Dragon card, pairing it with Delwyn Dragonscale would increase her damage to 3+3 per round! I believe she will be an important card in Dragon lineups and I am looking forward to win more battles with this card!
