Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Going Head To Head With My Friends

Time flies! Just completed the 104th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 3rd!

So for the final result, we were 3rd out of 10 guilds and got 808 Merits and around 17 SPS!

Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I managed to win 6 of them this time! Finished 5th within the guild!!!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Liza Fox

This opponent looked familiar! Hello there @treefrognada!

This was a tough match and I really had to dig deep into my card collection to push out all the strong Ranged cards for this Back to Basics battle. Fortunately, my damage output was enough to get this win! MVP goes to the summoner for reducing my opponent's damage.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

My Earth Magic cards are pretty bad to be honest, and I was forced to put out a brawl lineup. My lineup was nowhere near the 57 mana limit but somehow, my opponent had a worse lineup and I guess the MVP goes to the extra card that I had, which is none other than Magi Of Chaos. Pretty unique MVPs this brawl.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Whistling Damon

Another friend I see! Hello there @hurtlocker!

This was a tough battle and the main card which made the difference was my summoner Dallan. With Cripple, all the Armor didn't quite matter and it neutralised my opponent's Spirit Hoarder. Yet another unique MVP again!

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

I had a bad feeling when I saw Mylor Crowling in the opposing lineup because my Water lineup was almost all Melee cards. Fortunately, Isgald Vorst came to the rescue with Opportunity hits and stepped out to score this win eventually.

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

Even Venator Kinjo couldn't save me in this Blast battle. My opponent smartly made use of Martyr for this Blast battle, something which I thought of but opted not to take the risk. My damage output was lacking this time and once Venator Kinjo was down, the Blast hits wiped out my team quickly. Not a good battle for this one.

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

I actually had to admit that my opponent fielded an excellent lineup for this battle. I hardly see Serpent of Eld these days and it's a very strong card, and using Martyr to boost two strong cards to stay alive during the Earthquake was very effective too. Fortunately, I had a Flying card, Pelacor Bandit, and that was enough to make the difference. Without Earthquake, I would have lost.

So that sums up my 7 battles for this brawl! 86% win rate, a job well done in my view!
