Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - 3 Gladius Cards Combined To Beat Lux Vega!

Time flies! Just completed the 83rd brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 9 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 3rd

So for the final result, we were 3rd out of 10 guilds and got 862 Merits and around 10 SPS! Back to podium and a good set of rewards. Kudos to everyone submitted their teams!

Individually, I had 9 fights this time and I won 8 of them this time! Finished 2nd within the guild.

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Alfredo

An easy win to kick off the brawls. A little puzzling that my opponent used a list of cards with low HP and they got taken out quickly after the first round of fumes. Hehe!

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

Sometimes less is more. Gorth is the one of the best Gladius cards for solo battles and it emerged victorious against 3 Fire Melee cards!

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Hmm a very similar lineup from both sides. I edged out in this battle because my cards were of a higher level and my Sea Monster had a higher speed. So I guess Sea Monster takes the 2nd MVP for this brawl.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

When it rains, it pours. It's another Poison battle. You just have to give it to Sea Monster, which single-handedly fought the entire battle before the opponent succumbed to the fumes. It's a hattrick for Sea Monster!

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

This Life combination is extremely hard to take down, and it succeeded this time again. Even with the difference in level for the cards, the Level 1 lineup still manage to snatch this win. Hehe! It's all about strategy!

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

This must be the most silly battle in history. With the rulesets, I was reduced to only 1 card that was available. And it was just as silly when my opponent had the same problem. Unfortunately, a wrong choice of summoner cost me a win. It's my bad. Should have considered a little more.

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

Two Legendary summoners clashed head on in this battle. I was having a tough time clearing Chaos Knight and the team had to depend on Trapp Falloway to do the hits and accumulate the Bloodlust. Fortunately, Astral Entity's abilities bought a lot of time and Trapp Falloway saved this battle.

Battle 8 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Helmet Kharafax, Captain Katie and Sola Ranjell

This battle lasted a whooping 12 rounds. I went for 3 Gladius cards in my lineup and was up against Lux Vega! It was almost a stalemate as I had two healers supporting my Almo Cambio and it was Captain Katie who did the breakthrough eventually with all the Snipe attacks. Big big win in this one!

Battle 9 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

What looked like an easy battle didn't turn out to be so easy after all! The opposing Kraken was so tough to take down when supported by a healer. Eventually, Sea Monster and Isgald Vorst huffed and puffed, and finally succeeded. Consistent Water performance for me as usual.

So that sums up my 9 battles for this brawl! 89% win rate, pretty awesome I think!
