VIBES : Web3 Music Competition Week #1. Original song "IT'S GONNA BE OKAY"

It's my first time participating and I can say it's my pleasure to be here. Thanks to @lordbutterfly for this opportunity. The song I performed was an original song that I wrote in the year 2018 when I sat for my nursing school promotional examination but failed. This made me leave the school because anyone who doesn't have the required credits will be withdrawn. I was to get six credits in the examination and I had four.

It was a tough time in my life because this is the profession I've wanted to further in and it didn't go as planned. After being withdrawn, I faced a lot of criticism from my extended family. My uncles and aunties passed different kinds of heartbreaking comments and gave my parents different advice. It was a time in my life when I got tired of everything and I wanted to just give up.

Then I remembered that tough situations don't last, only tough people do. Amidst the broken heart and pain, I picked up my pen and wrote the song, "It's gonna be okay" which always serves as a motivation for me anytime I thought about it and I wanted to feel bad.

WHAT DOES THE SONG MEANS TO ME?

I call the song "Medicine to My Soul" because it healed me countless times when I needed a shoulder to lean on. This song always reminds me that it's all going to be okay and it was all I need. I just needed an assurance that it would be okay and this song gave it to me. No matter how tough it might be, it will be okay.

I chose this song for this week of vibes because I believe as humans, there will always be challenges but it's going to be okay if we don't give up.
