It's a happy day, yeah because I ain't going to work,it's a new month, I give thanks to God for seeing me through the month of September

Today being October 1st is always declared a national holiday in Nigeria because it's when Nigeria celebrates her INDEPENDENCE which was attained in OCTOBER 1ST 1960..

The celebrations is done all over the 36 States in Nigeria of which many activities will be carried out..

The president has to give the opening speech before the grand celebration starts

when I was in primary and secondary school, this is always my best time because I always participate in the ceremonial march past and competition with other schools and these happens in other state too.

We were also given green and white Attire to put on to represent the colour of our flag..🤣🤣

The most interesting part of this day is when the military me starts to perform, there is always a parade done by the military me in Eagle Square Abuja..

We have the police, navy, Air force and others performing..

It's a day worth watching and celebrating, not minding the happenings in the country,, i pray for peace as we celebrate her 61st Independence..
