As the park's stillness was broken by the approaching authorities, Thomson, Ricky, and the young man who claimed to be Thomson's son stood united, a small island in a sea of uncertainty.

Thomson: "Explain. Now."

Thomson's Son: "I was taken, Dad. Not just from you, but for a reason. They... the ones who took me, they're part of something bigger. Something you've been chasing all these years without even knowing it."

The young man's revelation was a key turning in the lock of a door Thomson had long feared to open.

Ricky: "Who are 'they'? And what do they want?"

Before the young man could answer, the park was flooded with agents, their badges glinting in the sunlight. Their leader, a stern woman with sharp eyes, stepped forward.

Agent: "Thomas Thomson, you are to come with us. There are matters that require your... expertise."

The demand hung heavy in the air, a gauntlet thrown at Thomson's feet.

Thomson: "My son stays with me."

Agent: "That was never in question. He's part of this, just as you are."

Thomson looked at his son, betrayal and understanding mingling in his gaze.

Thomson's Son: "I'm sorry, Dad. I had to make sure you were still fighting, that you hadn't given up. Because the fight's not over, not by a long shot."

The ride to the undisclosed agency headquarters was a silence filled with the loud echoes of unsaid words. Thomson's mind raced, piecing together the fragments of a life's worth of cases, looking for the pattern that had led to this moment.

Seated in a sterile interrogation room, the pieces began to fit together. The agent laid out files, photos, and evidence of a sprawling conspiracy that threaded through Thomson's career — each bounty he'd hunted, each case he'd solved, had been a step in a dance choreographed by an unseen puppeteer.

Agent: "We've been watching you, Thomson. Waiting for the right moment to bring you in."

Thomson: "And that moment's now? Why?"

Agent: "Because 'they' are making their move, and we need you to help stop it."

The episode closes with the agent sliding a file across the table — the photo on it, a face Thomson knew well, a ghost from his past that refused to stay dead.

To be continued...

Who is the ghost from Thomson's past, and how are they connected to the conspiracy? What move are 'they' making, and how will Thomson and his son help to stop it?

In Episode 12, the storm breaks, and the true battle begins, as Thomson is thrust into a war that blurs the lines between hunter and hunted, father and fighter.

I feel so much for Thomson, after all these years of grieving for his son, is his son a part of this conspiracy now? Would he be made to make difficult choices in his line of duty?

Is Thomson just a pawn in someone's game? What is the purpose of all this? 🤔
