Yes and No. Yuki initially seems to be a regular individual, a "young maiden", who eventually embarks on a quest due to an unexpected event, while Ryu is described as a skilled and elusive ninja from the start. =D
Finally, we read of the eternal dance between light and shadows. Armed with the Hidden Heart and ancient blade, Yuki and Ryu face the harbingers of darkness in a captivating clash and win!
