Madam Baruwa Lives In My Heart Forever.

Someone doesn’t really have to be your family member before you love them so much. There are a lot of people who mean so much to you and they don’t necessarily have to be your relative.
There’s someone who meant so much to me during her lifetime and till today, she still means a lot to me because she means the world to the person I love most. Have you ever noticed that if you love someone, you tend to love everyone the person also loves? It may not be everyone but there will be a particular person who means so much to the one you love and you tend to love the person too.

One person who meant a lot to me before she died was my mother-in-law. I’ve heard so many ladies say that before they get married, they want their mother-in-laws to die so there will be no one to stress them or frustrate them in their matrimonial homes. I guess that is how it is portrayed in movies but doesn’t work like that in real life. There are some mother-in-laws you’ll meet and they’d act like your mother and love you almost as much as your daughter does.

Is it shocking? Well, I’m not married to my man but we’re planning that and it’s looking like that will happen anytime soon once we get one particular thing we’re waiting for.

What makes my mother-in-law special to me?

Even if you don’t love someone, there will be reasons for you to do so and you’d see it in their actions that they really love you. Back then in 2016, I had an appendix surgery and this woman stood by me from the beginning to the end. It was also a relief to my mum because she didn’t take care of me alone. It was with the help of this amazing woman.

Secondly, if I ever have a quarrel with her son, she’d call me like a daughter to make sure we end the beef. I know so many women who will be in support of their children even when they know he’s wrong. She scolds me when I’m wrong including her son too and never makes me feel like I’m not her biological daughter.

Lastly, she’s not the only wife of her husband but I’m wondering how she’s able to create a bond between all the children the man has. If you see them, you’d never know which one is her biological child. It takes an amazing person to do that. Normally, so many women will hate the other kids so much because they aren’t the one who gave birth to them but it isn’t like that in her case and when she died, they all stood up to make sure that they make her final burial a memorable one. What a mother!

What have I learned from her?

I feel she’s just like the kind of mother I’d love to be when I grow up. She’s a prayer warrior, a good mother, a loyal wife and a woman everyone will be willing ti have as a mother. If I grow up, it will be an amazing thing to have my kids and daughter-in-laws speak good of me in this way. She’s an angel from heaven and I pray she rests in peace.

How did I recover from the loss?

I wanted to stay strong for my man. The both of us cannot be down at the same time so I was able to heal while consoling him.
