Hello, pilots and civilians! Welcome to the sixteenth installment of the weekly eXode lab report! This week's theme: where would you you be without a weapon? Even the poor Triskan depicted on the cover has weapon, and while it may not be Rekatron, it serves in defense of his life. If you do not find yourself with any weapons, Rekatron or otherwise, a sharp stick or some rock will do. But there comes a time when mankind must move on from playing with sticks and stones.

Don't feel like you're missing out because you don't have any big guns. Sometimes, I'm sure they are barely even a match against alien wildlife. One of the creatures on Casrarene, for example, uses a long-range fire breath. The fire breath in itself is incredible but what's important here is the fact that it has such a long reach.

Some of the weapons we have at our disposal are only short range. A few higher quality weapons are medium range. I can only think of one character capable of doing long range damage.

That's the Camouflaged Sniper, a Syndicate card. His weapon is bound and actions locked so he's the only one that can snipe and all he does is snipe. Oh yeah!

I realize that my lab report is quite late this week. So late, in fact, that it is already Syndicate Sunday in France, which means it is Syndicate Sunday everywhere! I have one of each contract so I open them the old fashioned way with the animated cards flipping (as opposed to the mass contract opener which just shows names). Only three cards drop, so wish me luck!

Finally a good drop! First an Ayumi to wake me up, then a Geisha (the first of 3 sisters), with an N-Prime on top. Can't wait to build a Criminal/Scientific deck to explore Casrarene and create more N-Prime.
Criminals do not receive a penalty when using firearms. That's because they live shady lives in the criminal underbellies of cities where weapons are all too common. They are a way of life. Its just like they say, Ayumi was born with a katana in her hand and used it to cut her way out of the womb.

There may be an update released within the coming days. Some people are slowing snatching up more elites, others saving for Beta. Me, I'm doing a little bit of both. The last elite I got being one from the market, a set of energy cells. But one I'm still looking for is the elite preservation dome, apparently last sold for $4 (in HIVE). I jokingly stated in the eXode Disxord Hub that with a fully upgraded dome I could probably fit my whole planet in there!
Another card I noticed sold for just $4 apparently was the Nuclear Family. Thanks exode-bot! I'm still waiting for the Drachian Mantis to drop in price but I don't think that will happen. @cartel-exode could stand to buy a Baldie shuttle as an extra alternative for a ship. Plus there's the opportunity to earn Baldie Rewards!

With the markets so down in the dumps, I decided to check the state of the game's native token, $EXOFUEL on Hive-Engine.

Don't be fooled by that price. There are buy orders for 9 HIVE and up. I bought mine at a 1:1 ratio way back when. Oh, why didn't I invest in more? It is not recommended to buy this token right now. In the future, you will be able to earn it by playing anyways. But a little bit of profit would have been nice.

I should start wrapping up. It will do me no good if I stay up all night writing this report. The nights on Casrarene are short! I must claim some rest. Tomorrow we might have some new assignments. Until then it is our job not to break the Starbase so that our commander's CPU may remain fully focused on coding! He's like Sh4rken!
