POB Needs Explainer Videos! 100 HBD And 10,000 POB Up For Grabs!

In order for POB to grow, more people need to understand how to use it. Hive and Leo users already understand POB at varying levels and can help to explain POB to the rest of the world.

Videos, especially with animations and/or screen shares, are the most effective way to explain something to a large audience. Concepts can be visualized and quickly understood compared to only text or audio.

Well, I'm certainly happy to see POB starting to show "signs of life" again... I always thought this was a concept with a lot of potential.

Seems to me the big challenge here will be to persuade people to hold/invest for the long term rather than to immediately sell every token they are rewarded.

I'm more of a writer than a videographer... but I'll certainly try to play around with something...

Where could I find the POB documentation about "Explain posting, staking, voting, swapping, 21M total supply, and the halving schedule" ???

There is only the basic description of POB so far. We need better documentation, but the posting, staking, and voting are are pretty strait forward to understand for hive users as it basically the same as hive. Leo would be the closest token to compare it to. As far as swapping, POB has pairs with CENT, SWAP.HIVE, and SWAP.BTC. Those can be found on https://www.proofofbrain.io/, https://tribaldex.com/dieselpools/pools, or https://beeswap.dcity.io/swap?pools&search=pob

The only thing that sets POB apart from other tokens is the 21M total supply and halving schedule that matches Bitcoin. POB has really just combined the technology of HIVE with the tokenomics of BTC.

The current contest is just for English, but other languages are appreciated and would recieve a @proofofbrainio upvote. There is already decent sized Spanish speaking community on POB, so that would probably the next language needed. Thank you!

I also think they are much more likely to look at a truly great opportunity to earn crypto.
I often do POB puzzles as I listen to other peoples content.
I need to send you an HBD for the next binging of podcast so I can get some BRAIN.

I confess that I am astonished but also happy with this post! It is great to see you move the POB community again. For me and many I know from when POB was Pop, Proof of Brain was the best community; it was a place where we could write about whatever we wanted and have genuine engagement. Count on me to help on this new community journey. @proofofbrainio

Now, an important question: Does the video need to be recorded only in English?

The contest was an absolute failure. It is my fault. I was not clear enough on my instructions. I appreciate you for making an entry but the video didn't showcase proofofbrain.io but ecency and the proof of brain community. While those two things are similar, there is no need for us to explain using ecency and the proof of brain community. I thought giving you 1000 POB was a fair consolation prize considering there are no usable videos, but you had given your effort. That was my reasoning. Please let me know if this is acceptable to you or if you would like to return the POB and work out another payment solution in private that is acceptable to you. I apologize for the inconvenience.

What's going on with POB and Proof of Brain interface???

The issues I found...

  1. For instance, if I type directly in the browser's prompt, the link to this post using the Proof of Brain interface, I'll find this post here.
    But, if I go to your profile page there, the page is empty! No posts! Zero! Glitch! Nada!
    Even more, it would say, "Looks like @proofofbrainio hasn't started blogging yet!"

  1. The same happened (and is happening) with all my posts published through Actifit app, despite the fact that #proofofbrain or #pob (or sometimes even both) tags have been used among the first ten tags.
    These posts are not listed on my Proof of Brain interface blog page! They are simply missing!
    In other words, if it's not some miscommunication (or even set to ignore) posts published with Actifit app, the cause might lie in the following.

  2. If the post is not published under "My Blog" or in the "Proof of Brain Community," the post is not going to be published on POB Interface, no matter if the #proofofbrain, #pob (or even both) tags have been used.
    In short, if the post is published only under "Posts," it's not going to be published on POB Interface. If that's so, and it seems it is, it should be adjusted, at first because many users are not aware of that, and second (as far as I know) not all interfaces support that option to choose. (I.e., Actifit app doesn't support the option to choose the community (including "My Blog") at all. The user may add only the tags.)
    In other words, why lose that traffic and that activity?! - I'm sure the web domain, or the hosting, is not for free.

  3. The exception I'm noticing for the above.
    For instance, the user @dmhafiz is one of the most frequent active users in the "Proof of Brain Community."
    (Sorry for the mention @dmhafiz, but you seemed the best to describe the following issue that affects you too, although you are maybe not even aware of it.)
    In his concrete case, his last two posts were published in the "Proof of Brain Community." When we look at his profile page on Proof of Brain Interface, we will find only the one published yesterday but not the one published a couple of hours ago.
    The post published 3 hours ago (I'm typing this) - My Engagements in the "Larry is Alive" posts on Jan 28! | Hunting Larry on Sunday - is not there on POB interface, despite being published in the community and using #proofofbrain tag.

    OK - it might be because of a possible block processing delay. But still, we are talking about three hours! (In other words, and from my perspective, whoever you are paying to service your site is not doing the job as it should, or you are paying for something you are not actually getting.)

  4. And last but not least - Upvotes are not recorded or at least they are not recorded on time!
    Meaning... If I go and upvote someone's post or comment using POB Interface, I would notice that the vote has proceeded on the Hive blockchain (my Hive voting power will be deducted for a certain percentage, and Gina or a similar bot would also notify me about it), but the "black heart" wouldn't change into "blue heart," pending payout amount would remain the same (it wouldn't increase for the amount of my POB upvote), and my Voting Power Indicator (on POB Interface) will continue to show 100% of my VP available, even after 10 upvotes on active posts and comments.
    (OK - let's say it might be again because of block processing delay. But if you really want people to use POB Interface, then this is (IMHO) a big no, No, NO! How would one know if he/she upvoted the post or not? Was the upvote proceeded or not?! Not to mention that in case of, i.e., double 100% upvotes, the receiver would get only one maximum (100%) upvote, while the upvote giver will still lose an additional 2% of his voting power, as unfortunately, that's how the blockchain works at the moment. In other words, using only POB Interface, one may drain all his/her VP in repeated attempts to "successfully" upvote just one post.)
    Furthermore...
    I also noticed that on some posts or comments (properly tagged) that I have upvoted through POB Interface, (most often) only after a couple of days would my upvote actually show up. (Meaning, the "black heart" would become "blue heart," and the post pending payout amount would increase for the amount of my upvote.) But, on some posts (although also properly tagged) this would never happen, even not after the payout due time of the post or comment. At least, strange! Very strange!

These are the main issues I'm facing using the POB Interface!
However, I didn't arrive here to write all this "novel" to criticize you or even less to attack you by any means, but to inform you about the things that you maybe didn't even notice and are not aware of!

And therefore, I'm kindly asking you to take a look and see what can be done about it!
(I'm aware, and I understand, that all Hive interfaces with second-layer tokens rely on Hive-Engine service and that because of it, very little might be in your own hands. But, if similar interfaces like Hive-Engine's own Tribaldex Blog or some others like Sports Talk Social, or very popular and active We Are Alive and Social may work properly without all the above-listed issues, then I'm sure that your POB Interface can too. - I don't think that you are paying for something else or less than they do!)
