A funny memory of my late Grandma.

I decided to snap this particular area in our sitting room so that whenever I open my gallery and see this picture, it will remind me of my late Grandma; I miss her so much. My cousins and I still laughed at some memories of her some days ago while imitating her behaviour and attitude towards some things in the house. Grandma was a strict and disciplined woman and I'm proud to be her granddaughter.

The chair on the right-hand side was her favourite when she was alive. You dare not sit there else, you would be ready to answer some queries and hear history that you haven't heard of. Even if you sit on it and you suddenly hear the sound of her slippers coming towards the sitting room, just stand up gently so she won't hear you. Ever since I have known her, she does not sit elsewhere. She also has a special chair at the dining table which is meant for her alone.

Well, you can sit on it in her absence but you must be ready to stand up immediately when you hear her coming to eat her food. There are lots of memories about my Grandma I keep remembering whenever I look at the two favourite chairs. I am trying my best to make both my favourites with no one fighting the space with me. After all, I am the second grandchild 🤨 Dad had to stop a guy last night when he came to charge; he sat on the chair and immediately he pointed somewhere else for him to sit. He still believes that Grandma's spirit is sitting there and with us.

One thing that has turned into a habit for mama is how she wouldn't stand up on time when she is pressed. When she feels like urinating, she won't stand up until the urine has started dripping in her pants. Then, she would start shouting right from the sitting room announcing to whoever was in the toilet to get out before she gets to the toilet 😂

My Dad had warned us not to use Mama's bathroom and toilet again but to use the other ones in the second building so that there wouldn't be any delay whenever she wants to use any. But my siblings and cousins wouldn't listen, and every time, mama would shout at the top of her voice chasing whoever was in the toilet. This means if you accidentally go to poo and Mama is coming to pee, just hold your poo and run out of the toilet because she will never allow you to use another 2 seconds there because of her urge to urinate. It would have been good if she had stood up on time so that while waiting for anyone in the toilet to finish up, the pee wouldn't be dripping down on the floor. Life of an old woman 😂

It happened that my younger sister who has always been adamant went to use the bathroom as usual, she was bathing and had just started washing her body. Suddenly, mama stood up from her chair and we could see the urine dripping on the floor. Everyone in the sitting room with her couldn't help but burst into laughter. Her children have always told her to stand up once she starts to feel the urge but she wouldn't. Maybe I took that habit from her. I also used to hold my bladder for so long before visiting the toilet to pee, same thing with my Dad. I think this is hereditary.

So, mama started shouting while holding her buttocks so the urine would not keep dripping. My sister had just rubbed some soap on her eyes and body. The shout alone got her scared and she rushed out with her eyes closed and body filled with soap (she got what she deserved 🤪). She stood by the door waiting for Mama to finish up. At that moment, she wasn't getting herself as the soap had entered her eyes. Mama kept venting her anger on her out of frustration. She couldn't take it anymore as Mama was taking longer in the toilet, we understand how old people do since they aren't active like us again. My sister ran off to the other bathroom in the second building and while she passed through the sitting room since that was the only route, everybody laughed 😅

Thanks for your time on my blog.

Do yours start dropping before you run to the toilet???

I know it's not only me that want to ask this question 😄

Hahaha. I am not old na. Even if I hold my bladder, I can easily run my way to the toilet. Old people can't run 😄😄

My Grandma was no different😂.
She had her favorite chair in the sitting room as well as the dining room.
Only difference is we dare not enter their restroom even if it means life or death.
Guess having a favorite spot in the house is something they all have in common.

Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣, that your sister deserve the cup of tea from your grandma.

But that your grandma is funny o. Though, many old people do behave same way. I wonder

Old people, what would we do without them? They are very funny and vulnerable. Mine made us laugh for many years before she died. Your sister must have run out of patience waiting 😃

Poor your sister, but just as you say, if she already knew about the grandmother thing, she had to go straight to the other bathroom. Luckily they had two bathrooms, because if it had been only one, I think more than one toilet tragedy would have happened.

She truly got what she deserves, for using grandma's restroom, even when she has been told not to used it, i understand how hurting it can be for saop to enters somebody's eyes, I am trying to laugh at, the way she was keeping her face, during when she was locating another restroom in the building.

It admirable that elders like having their own seat in the house, I tends to wonder why, but who among your siblings owns that your grandma chair currently, like who claims it?, I know it must be you.

That's the belief of a lot of people. I have heard of people talking about their long-gone people, and sometimes, they sometimes claim to be talking to them.
