Why does bad things happen when you really don't want them to?

I mean I know that we never really want bad things happening to us at all, but there are certain times where we even say an extra prayer to prevent anything wrong from happening at that moment, maybe due to a special event or something important.

Anyways, for some time now, I've been trying to be useful in the kitchen because I've come to find out that eating out is quite expensive. So when there's no one to help me cook, I try to myself because I do want to learn and probably become a very good cook someday, probably even a chef.

Lol.

Well, today was one of those days where all of the ladies were busy and I had to take care of myself by myself. So I had gone to the market to get some ingredients. I have been craving some ogbono soup for a while now and it turned out it was actually one of those soup that needed just some few steps to prepare.

So I got back from the market and got to work. One of the girls had been kind enough to tell me what to do before she got back to what she was doing, so I followed her instructions and luckily for me, it turned out amazing, probably one of the best things I've ever created alone in the kitchen. It was so good that one of my neighbours perceived the aroma and told me that he was interested in having a taste of what I was cooking.

So like a proud chef, I gave him a full bowl of the soup while I also consumed mine. I also would had given the ladies some (because I was proud of my accomplishment and wanted the whole world to have a taste), but unfortunately none of them were home, so I made a mental note to give it to them when they returned.

But about 30 minutes or an hour later, tragedy struck. I probably ran faster than the speed limit in my room on my way to the restroom. After about my third trip to the restroom, my neighbour walked into my room, his face was not looking good. The first question he asked me was if he had ever offended me in anyway in the past, to which I replied no. So he asked why I had given him diarrhea soup?

The moment I understood what he was talking about, I began to laugh really hard. He too joined me when I explained to him that I just got out of the restroom few minutes ago. It turned out one of the ingredients I had gotten at the store was bad and instead of throwing it away, they had sold it to me anyway, at least that was what the girls said (after laughing at me of course) when I explained it to them.

Anyways, irrespective of the fact that it's a diarrhea soup like my friend called it, the fact still remains that I entered the kitchen alone and I came out victorious, even though it was for a few minutes. A win is a win for me.

Hahaha
Sorry about that. I'm glad that it happened so that next time, you will check the expiry date and also check if some products had spoilt before buying them or not
