My no1 pick for the following bullrun (not this one), or perhaps even for 8-10 years, is Mintlayer (ML).
BTC sidechain, launched mainnet 2 months ago, good staking, what last for 10 years, own wallet, coming zk rollup l3 in this year q4, grant program, funds for developers on chain, max total supply is 400m (+200m from staking over 10 years).
Downside is slow progress, competitors are faster, ongoing monthly token release till q1 2025, since launch, very few projects were introduced building on it.
overall, for real, long term crypto investment, i think, it's not a bad one, even if it will probably won't show big upside in next half year. on the other hand, still affordable, perhaps, it will even fall back further (if a major btc correction comes, the chance is even higher for that).
That's quite an interesting choice as I've never heard about Mintlayer. But a good opportunity to read some more on it.
i was looking for btc zk rollups with tokenomics, when i've found it... :) i have few more new, upcoming ones for longer term, for the following circle top.
something similar like Stacks in earlier phase, but with less max supply + few potentially relevant added things, options.
