Splinterlands Battle Mage Weekly Challenge - Opportunity

Hello everybody in the leofinance community and to all on hive, this is my entry to the splinterlands battle mage challenge for this week. I am writing about a battle I fought tis evening. I played several battles till I finally got the ruleset required.

Ruleset and Its Meaning

---

This ruleset is the opportunity ruleset which means that the all monsters with the opportunity ruleset can attack from any position and will target the enemy unit with the lowest health.

Summoner and Team Choices

I chose this earth summoner, Obsidian to grant my cards +1 magic.

My Opponent's team selection

My opponent chose the same water summoner, Obsidian which gave all the cards +1 health.

Round 1

---

The summoner buffs, units buffs and debuffs took effect and the battle began with my opponent attacking first and killing my second card, Fungus Flinger. This caused my Grund and Kron the Undying to get an addition to all the stats.

Unluckily for me, my cards couldn't kill my opponent's lowest health cards since Mycelic Slipspawn had the taunt ability in which case it received all the attacks. Midway through the first round, my opponent's second card killed my Vernari Markstart which allowed my Kron and Grund to get an addition to their stats.

At the end of the round, no other card from me or my opponent died.

Round 2

My opponent attacked first with its Regal Peryton and had the damage halved. Grund killed my opponent's first card and Kron killed Urjurak Mystic who became the first card.

My opponent attacked my first cards but couldn't kill Unicorn Mustang.

Round 3

---

Regal Peryton attacked Unicorn Mustang and my Grund killed my opponent's Goblin Psychic and the last cards. Unicorn Mustang and Kron the Undying killed my opponent's Regal Peryton.

My opponent's only card, Distengrator disintegrated my Unicorn Mustang clearly sending me a message he wouldn't be killed without a fight.

Round 4

As soon as the round started, Grund attacked twice reducing the health of my opponent's Disintegrator to 1. Mean Kron the Undying with all the power crushed my opponent's Distengrator to bring the battle to an end.

I won this battle after 4 rounds.
