To Add New Goals or Not? .:. #MyHiveGoals 2022 Edition!

avatar

Sometimes I have a feeling that things happen so slowly in the crypto... When you are awaiting some game launch, additional tweaks to the particular project, or some dApp launch... I had that feeling when I was waiting for the Polycub project launch for a couple of months, also with Splintrlands and new addition cards, etc...

But, on the other side, very often things are moving very fast! And, to be honest, that's the case with crypto stuff very often... I always have a feeling that I wasn't prepared for the "new thing" when it arrives, even if I knew about it months before!

Something similar happened these days with the pHBD launch... There were rumors about the launch, but I thought it will be delayed for some time, and it got me unprepared... :) But, after deeper thinking about the topic, I think that I didn't miss too much regarding "entering" into the pool... As a Polycub supporter, I have added some liquidity to the pHBD-USDC pool and was thinking about adding it as my new goal here...

To Add New Goals or Not.jpg
Created in Canva.com

But, I will have to disappoint you guys... I will not add HBD as a goal here, but I will add more funds to the pool... Why's that? Well, I have already explained my reasons and the difference that I make between stable coins and "regular crypto tokens"... So, nothing personal against the HBD, as I'm very bullish about 20% on HBD savings and the newest Polycub pHBD pool on Polygon... Speaking of which, don't forget to help HBD listed on Debank here... If you are not verified, you will just need to sign a message through Metamask and you are good to go!

The one important lesson that I have learned a hard way is that everyone SHOULD have stable coins in their portfolio! I had a very bad time in 2018 and partly in 2019 as I was extremely exposed to cryptocurrencies like BTC, ETH, and some others... I had ZERO stablecoins in my portfolio and it was a painful period of time... I'm still heavily in crypto, but this time, I have a much better-diversified portfolio than 2-3 years ago...

Another thing is an experience... When you create your yearly goals, you should try to pick tokens that will "survive" a year! It sounds funny, but believe me, many tokens don't survive 2-3 months... In my previous editions of #MyHiveGoals, I did make this mistake and some tokens just disappeared... I'm happy to see that goals for this year and the tokens that I have picked are doing great... As someone said if you can't see yourself in certain tokens in a year-two, or five, don't lose your time with them at all!

pg divider203.png

Looking at my progress regarding my Hive Power goal, sometimes I got demotivated with results, but I remind myself that we are still in the first half of the year and there is plenty of time ahead... The most "demotivating" thing is to see the gap between realized monthly percentage goal and the "needed percentage" is growing... It is at the moment almost 7% which is huge as the number of needed HivePower is measured in thousands and it's not that easy to collect that many tokens...

Anyways, tweaking some weekly and daily goals can make a huge difference... I have mentioned in the last report that I will try to exchange some tokens into HIVE on a daily/weekly base, and for now, I stick to that... There are results, but I have to be persistent and continue with that in the future, too!

This HBD excursion is another big "shiny thing" that could affect me, but I will try to stay focused on HIVE... I know that HIVE has a lower APR than HBD, but Hive Power has so much more "added value" that it's not comparable with any APR! Oh, and much bigger potential for growth! Don't forget about that!

In the past 7 days, I have added 126 HP to my balance, mostly from curation, but also from some HP delegations... This number has to grow to over 200 if I want to catch my ORCA dream!

pg divider203.png

I have mentioned in the last report the new value-added to LEO Power through the distribution of LeoFinance ads revenue among LEO stakers... That info motivated me to power up some additional LEO tokens, to be more exact, 61 LEO tokens... The monthly goal percentage is closer and closer... Maybe I can reach my monthly goal in April?

pg divider203.png

The WORKERBEE market is getting crazy lately with a market price spread of almost 2 HIVE per token! In certain moments, the best BUY offer was 1.5 HIVE, and the best SELL offer was over 3 HIVE! There aren't many tokens on the market and that's why we can witness these anomalies... I have some buy orders, but I don't want to chase the price, so waiting patiently to see what happens... My monthly goal is reached, so at least I don't have to think about that... :)

If I told you that I have did the same mistake with delegating my BEE POWER to my other account, would you believe me? Well, I did it again, and I couldn't believe it either... lol... Luckily, I got to my monthly goal, so I wasn't that pissed off at myself... 😃

GAMING GOALS

Speaking of craziness, it was (and still is) a crazy ride in the RISING STAR game lately... With the special Easter 2022 mission, 2nd Birthday Cake mission, and all blending, people can get distracted from other things in the game... It's amazing how the game grew on different levels, not just by the number of players, but also by additional options in the game! To sum up my progress, I have collected my 2nd Cake, accumulated almost 10 cards of each Easter2022 NFTs, and will blend them in the future videos... I need 2-3 more Pascala NFTs and I'm good to go... :) I have added 118 cards in the last 7 days!

And when I thought that we will have a calm period in Splinterlands and that I will have time to buy some SPS tokens as I was expecting that the price will go under $0.10, we got huge news about the future nodes for the game! The price of VOUCHER and SPS tokens went up immediately, so the only thing that I can do is to continue what I was doing... Staking my airdropped tokens and accumulating...

Hey Ph!

Quite a goal here and I wish you all the best in your orca journey.

Having said that, I realized that when you presented your goals mine was quite off the tracks lately. ( Still working on having it be back on track).

So what I will do is try to better my tracking as I always suck at that part.

On a side note - I just approved you as my witness and I hope that helps too!

Regards,

Thanks for the witness vote!

And regarding your goals, it will definitely help if you are tracking them regularly... Pick one day in a week, or month, open a spreadsheet and write them down... Maybe you can leave a date every time you do it... You will notice that you will have more motivation in accomplishing them...

That method helps me to focus on my goals and I'm sure it will help you too!

Wish you the best!

This tip may work! Thanks, Ph,

The irony is I hate spreadsheets haha it feels like I am working as for more than 10 hours a day I use spreadsheets with the accounting work.

But hopefully, I will try this one. I really need to be serious about this thing now.

Pretty much in the same boat. My goals where doing good but in came in 20% APR on HBD lol which is like you gotta get in on that right?! it's 20% on a freakin stable coin so like hardly any risk. Also lots of new news coming out!

it's 20% on a freakin stable coin so like hardly any risk.

It is tempting, I have to agree with that... But... It is still a freakin pegged token to the USD... So, you have a lot of risks, like inflation, wars, oil dominance, covid shit, stupid politicians, etc... hehehehe

It really depends on our point of view... :)

But, like I said many times... I do have stable coins, and I do have HBD in savings and in pHBD, but that's not my priority by any means... I'm still more about "real crypto"... :)

Yeah... Reality is sometimes cruel, but it's on us to find that light (or be the light) in the tunnel... And like you said, sometimes is better to have NO choice... The work had to be done!

There has been a lot happening this week so it's easy to get overwhelmed. I don't think I'll add to the pHBD pool but I like keeping mine in the savings for now.

As for rising star, the cakes are a lot cheaper this time compared to last time. I picked 3 up myself and I might sell one down the line.

Really? Someone asked me what was the price before, but I forgot it... You could be right that it was more expensive... In any case, that's a very useful card... ;)

It was 100k starbits and there was a limited amount. Of course those cakes ran out quick and people had to resort to paying Hive for the cake.

With the workerbee token supply so low its a very good token to hodl for the long run imo, Once i found out about it I knew I had to get a few to hang onto and I love watching the random bees come in weekly and randomly from other pools but it is a bit hard to grab as many workerbee as I would like to atm but thats ok with me. I think its worth alot more then what it is not really just because of the utility. Hope your weeks going well!

Just one important thing regarding this... The Hive-Engine team could drop some more WORKERBEE for sale sometimes in the future, so be cautious about that... It's not ALL the supply on the market atm...
But, in general, I do agree with you regarding the token itself... If not, I wouldn't buy it personally :)

Same, I am also concentrating on HP and putting no more new goals, Either I will complete my all pre -existing tribe and SPS goal before having any new one.

I am using LEO as my extra fund for any miscellaneous buy so that I am not spending Hive and keep powering up Hive.

Sold some VOUCHERS too and waiting if buyback is feasible.
