Sniper Focus .:. #MyHiveGoals 2023

After two very interesting weeks for HBD and HIVE, we went back to the "boring part", when the price is hovering around the same value... But, the good news is that after these powerful moves, HIVE usually doesn't go back to the previous price which happened this time too... Before these volatile movements, HIVE was around $0.38-$0.40, and the current price, while I write this post is around 43 cents... Not too far, but still 10% more than it was before...

Learning from all that happened, I keep part of my HIVE and HBD liquid, or better said in the buy and sell orders, prepared for the next pump (or dump)... I like both tokens, but I work on accumulating my HIVE more... As a matter of fact, HIVE (and HIVE POWER) are the fuel of this blockchain that runs this awesome machine, while HBD is a sidewheel that helps it to grow... Of course, that's my opinion... 😃

Back to #MyHiveGoals... In the beginning, let's check out HiveStats...

HiveStats.png
screenshot from hivestats.io

The advantage of creating these weekly (or monthly) goals reports is that you can closely follow how you progress and where you should push more (or less)... Last year, I was pushing hard and powering up some "additional" HIVE on weekly basis, especially close to the end of the year... I was doing additional 200-250 HIVE power-ups per week + 1K HivePUD power-ups on the 1st of the month... I have a bit slowed down this year, mostly as the price of HIVE went up and it's harder to accumulate, but I will not stop doing it... I will not power down my HIVE, and all author rewards are working in "accumulation mode"... HBD waits patiently in buy orders, and HP is staying where it is... :)

In the last 7 days, I have accumulated 161 HivePower, which is very close to the last week (if I deduct 1K power up)... So, I'm still 20-30% far away from my weekly goal of at least 200... Gotta work on that...

pg divider203.png

The problem with having more than one heavy goal is that you are split into two sides which can be counterproductive... So, I will probably think about adjusting my LEO Power goal in the following weeks or months... I know that this isn't "motivating" at all and it looks like me quitting on this goal, but I have to make priorities and HivePower is my priority always...

The idea was to accumulate around 200 LEO tokens per week too, but I did only 142... And that includes LEO tokens that I got from my delegation to leo.voter... So, I will see how to proceed with this one...

GAMING GOALS - Flexible Goals

The RISING STAR goal is pleasant and relaxing to do it... I have created a much better goal this year, and I hope it will keep me engaged with the game... It's not that I need additional motivation 😂, but it's nice to keep building my NFT collection... Lately, I began with purchasing some of the NFT records inside the game which is a good way to support our local, HIVE musicians... Also, I will need soon some additional NFTs that I will have to buy from the markets and I'm already doing that slowly...

In the last 7 days, I have accumulated 137 cards more!

This week, we had some news from the GLS/GLX team! The bridge for the GLGT and GLUSD tokens is created and they can be traded on the Hive Engine! As I have read the whitepaper, that was planned for Q1 and it wasn't a surprise... Also, the GLGT token was like a "bonus" for mining GLX tokens as it didn't have "value" until this point... I suppose that most people didn't realize that at all, so I have exchanged some and bought more GLX tokens... lol... 😂

The monthly goal is reached last week, but I have continued building up my stash... In the last 7 days, I have added almost 4700 tokens! I suppose I will have to raise my yearly goal soon... But we will see...

It's time to update the numbers and put them into the spreadsheet until the next week! So, freshly updated numbers for #MyHIVEGoals, on February 12th, 2023 are:

I had a similar idea on saturday while I went out for running so decided to do a weekly recap every sunday just to share a bit more about myself and how my hive account is doing, i have also set some goals that are not crazy but wont be easy, another thing im interested is spliterlands but not sure if it can be fun and profitable, its hard to have both sometimes, thx for sharing ✌️

Great that you began with your weekly recaps! It will help you immensely to stay focused on your journey for sure... It helped me a lot and I believe it can help everyone who is doing it... 😉

I really enjoyed playing Splinterlands first 2-3 years, but after that, it took me more and more time, and I was stressing too much about it... lol... (I do that when I play games... lol...) So, I decided to leave my SL account to be played by a bot...

When I began with SL it was profitable and fun, today, I don't know how it looks from the newbie perspective... Maybe it's easier to find tutorials, strategies, etc, but not sure when the "profitability" comes into place...

That's nice progress. 9,121 cards for Rising Star 🤔. It's even already 10 times more than I have rn. Keep it up and stay on the top~ I'm still crawling around the top 200 to go higher 🤣.

I see that you like to compare your stats with others... 😃
My son is doing the same, but comparing himself with those worse than him... :P And I'm always telling him to compare himself with those who are better as that will motivate him to push harder... I did the same many times, and it helped me to grow!

Yes, sometimes comparing myself with others who are stronger or better than me makes me easy to make a goal.

And I'm always telling him to compare himself with those who are better as that will motivate him to push harder...

Well, you need to make an example I think, and at least try to compare him to someone who's not too higher 😅. Try to motivate him by comparing him to someone who's better than him at some point but your son is better too in others. Sometimes parents don't realize it just makes their child feel unmotivated or uncomfortable to do anything when they compared their child to someone who is 100% better than them.

Experience: When I was still in school, I compared myself to like someone who is better than me in some subjects but I still have a subject that was equal to better than him/her. We become friends and studied together. While my mother always compared me to my cousin who's almost perfect and always asked me to study and study 🤕 (My friend said it's a typical Asian parent do). It just made me didn't want to study and compare myself to those lower than me.
^The result: I always study at school and just went home when school is closing. I have friends who support me at school 🤷‍♂️ and I ignored every scold my mother threw at home. That's when I learn, "Ignorance is Bliss" << I'm still doing this now tbh 🤣. Idk why my mom always asks me to become something that I can't even achieve or like, from a Doctor (She threw that after always seeing my score in biology is always red) to a company slave in Bank (I don't like work in Bank because company politics). She ignored what I can achieve or like.

Hope my experience can help you 👍

Hehehehe... Nice personal story... Well, my parents were similar, but not that pushy... It's hard when you get in "their shoes" and became a parent yourself... I suppose then we understand our parents and recognize that they just wanted the best for us... All the rest is just unimportant history...

Yes, my grandmother also told me so. I can ignore what isn't best or just put stress on me, But always listen to her when it's really important to me 👍.

Although you didn't get 200 HP a week and your weekly goal, I think the amount you're earned is kind of crazy. Progress and progress is always good.

It adds us day by day, week by week... After writing the post I revised my HP goal as I had doubts about it... Maybe it's too high? But, we always forget the power of compounding... and HivePower makes those curation rewards compounding... Those 10% per year can be a nice amount...

Wish you best of luck with your goals. Hope you can achieve all as soon as possible.
Hive price is sticking to 43 cent , 10 % above the the previous price before the pump. It is a good sign. I'm also trying to accumulate as much as i can, Can't buy as you are buying, i'm just doing comment and posting.

Can't buy as you are buying,

Well, this is debatable... :) I can't remember when I bought HIVE with my "fiat" last time... Maybe 3-4 years ago... But, I do exchange some of my earnings from other tokens, and games back into HIVE... It can be counted as a purchase, but it is all made under the same umbrella...

Right under your comment here, there is another one from Hivebuzz that says a lot...

So, keep on commenting and creating!!!
