I Have Powered Up Some Hive on HivePUD... What now? .:. #MyHiveGoals 2023
According to the latest post by @hivebuzz, there were 502 participants in July's edition of HivePUD... Altogether, we have powered up 112187.497 HIVE! As usual, I have participated this time too, which makes my 22 consecutive #HivePUD, and 20th 1K Power up in a row! In my yesterday's post @gadrian noticed a certain discrepancy:
Although, by the same interpretation, participation in HPUD will not make a difference, since many do it, lol. However, if we look at how many do it consistently over time and with meaningful amounts, the list shortens significantly.
...as my post was about being different... If we compare the number of active accounts on HIVE (I have found that detail from the @dalz's post from May) which is around 3.5-4K per day, with the participants in the HivePUD, we can get that around 13% of active (blogging) users participated in the event...

What is more important of all this is what will people DO with their newly acquired HivePower? It is important to "lock" HIVE for different reasons like as it leaves fewer liquid tokens that make price moves more volatile, if tokens are locked potential hackers can't transfer them out fast, and many other reasons that ordinary users don't even think about... But, one of the most important uses is that your "power on the chain" is bigger...
In the spirit of Web 3.0, USING your HivePower makes it so special... It's amazing how the majority of other blockchains that are "bragging" about their Web3 power don't have anything similar to our HivePower! That makes this place special... Now, when you have powered up your HIVE, it's time to USE that power! Go out and support amazing creators on this network! Support your followers by upvoting their comments... Support people who are speaking about freedoms and promoting this great place...
Don't be lazy and leave that work for someone else... I know that delegations can be profitable, but there is no better feeling than helping someone else, and supporting your neighbor! Directly, transferring "power" from you to them, no third party involved, Web 3.0 baby!!!

Finally, I got to the point that I made this report only 7 days after the last one! 😃 Not really something that I should be proud of, especially as I'm "promoting" consistency and I wasn't consistent a few weeks ago... Anyways, life happens and I wasn't able to do it, but what is important, that I'm here and doing this again!
We had a #HivePUD and after one week from the last report, I have accumulated 1203 Hive Power, which would be 203 HP if we deduct the 1K power-up... Like I said in the last post, anything between 200 and 250 HIVE is a great result and it keeps me on track with my yearly goal! If it goes under that number, my goal will be harder to achieve... So far so good!
The price of LEO tokens went down a bit after that initial hype from a few weeks ago and there is a chance that some of my buy orders get filled soon... As I don't like to change my buy/sell orders, I'm still waiting patiently to hit them... If not, well, it's not the end of the world and I will try to find some other way to acquire more LEO tokens... :)
In the past 7 days, I have added 43 tokens to my LEO Power... Again, I have mentioned that the APR for HP delegations is lower and curation rewards are also under 10%, so these two things don't help a lot in faster accumulation... On the other side, I didn't create many LEO Finance posts lately, but rather more general posts where I didn't add the "LEO" tag, and didn't receive any LEO rewards for them...
GAMING GOALS - Flexible Goals
I'm struggling with EGO in the Rising Star game and I have some doubt that is limiting my STARBITS earnings lately... I mean, I get fewer rewards from missions and that means fewer tokens in general... Fewer tokens, less money to invest in buying packs... Fewer packs, fewer cards, etc... I have done some math around the number of packs that I'm opening per week and there is no chance that I can reach my yearly goal if I continue like this... I will have to BUY some cards directly...
I was thinking about it before, but I didn't want to "cheat myself" by doing that, but I suppose if I doing it buying with profits from the game, it's not "cheating"... I will do some additional math in the next days and maybe buy some cards from the markets directly... Maybe some instrument cards to bump up my SKILL from doing music lessons? What do you think? Will focus on one type of lesson help in lowering EGO by doing just that one particular lesson?
In the last 7 days, I have accumulated an additional 105 cards which is some kind of an average amount that I do in a week...
I have "executed" my accumulation strategy for the GLX token goal and accumulated a fair amount of tokens... When I reached my goal, I said to myself that I will not buy more tokens until they reach a certain price... The same as for LEO tokens, I have some BUY orders that are waiting to be filled... Until then, I'm earning tokens from the airdrop and my staking rewards... All that goes again back into the staking... It would be crazy to sell these tokens for cheap, before the game launch...
In the last 7 days, I have accumulated additional 2660 GLX tokens! Pure passive income!

To be honest, participation in HivePUD of 13% of active people on HIVE isn't that bad... Many people don't know how to power up and many people are probably "emotionally weak" because of this bear market... It's not easy to click on the "power up" button when you have so much FUD around crypto... Experienced users can reduce the noise, but not newbies...
I know, it isn’t bad at all.
Many don’t even know about it next to the bear market we are on and all that comes with it.

The unique way we have Hive Power on Hive is pretty special and it is for sure good to build it up and then USE it yourself to support others on chain. Great work with your goals, it is good to see we are targetting some similar goals and regarding RS, I focused on singing initially, but now have guitar as my go-to lesson. Due to the high ego on certain missions, I usually avoid them.
Yeah, I'm getting the most from singing too... So, I suppose that it has the sense to buy more microphones and similar stuff to get even more from those lessons... Will have to check it out when I get some time and invest in some instruments...
Yep, I didn't check the numbers. I thought the participation is higher. Frankly, I am a bit disappointed, but maybe some power up during the month as I was doing before starting on this habit. Still, the number must be pretty low. This means more for those doing it because they gain influence in the ecosystem...
We can't forget that the HIVE price went down recently and that the whole crypto market isn't in the "best shape"... I suppose that people keep their focus on other stuff and trying to "forget" about crypto in general... We know (and other experienced users) that NOW is the best moment to accumulate, but many others are doing that when FOMO kicks in...
What disappoints me in that feedback post from HivePUD is that I know almost ALL people from that 1K HIVE power-up list and I didn't notice some "big names" there... Just people like you and me, and other "small accounts"... I suppose that I expected to see some more "famous" people there...
I know at least a few who took the bitcoin route and will get back into HIVE and maybe other coins when the alt season starts. Strategically, maybe they are right and they'll advance their influence quicker this route. It is however a more risky one if your goal is to increase HP. Nobody can time the market well enough to be more profitable than someone who plays the long game.
I won't like myself and make excuses... Yes, it could be a good way to get more HIVE by going out to BTC and then coming back... But, from the social network view, I doubt that it is a good way... It's a similar story to delegating all your HP to some project that will pay you 15-20%... You will get more tokens in the end, but you will lose your influence and your "skin in the (social media) game"...
Maybe I'm foolish with that way of thinking, but sooner or later, you notice those patterns and you can distinguish people who are here for a quick buck and those who are building and helping others to build...
I tend to agree with you on this. It's not something one should try to maximize at the expense of leaving the ecosystem, even if it's for a year or so. Those who really care stay.

Awesome post buddy it has been awhile since i have had a chance to catch one always seem to be playing catch up these days really need to do better with my engagements sorry about that.
Sometimes i find focused consistency is tough to hold because i am pretty consistent for the most part been working on a project here on Hive most days and with the We are alive tribe.
I am not very organised so that could also be the issue 😜

Wow, 3.5-4k people here are active daily, I would have assumed it would be much more, but then again, it shows we have plenty of room left to grow.
I was delighted with my power up this month, I'd like to get into the swing of consistantly powering up by a large amount each month. I'm going to aim for a similar sized power up next month and see if I can be a proper member of the 1k club haha

Haha thanks dude, yeah I'm so happy with it. It's great to be able to put some skin in the game and while the price is down it's a great chance to accumulate and build my account.
Realisitically, I think I could reach 10k by Christmas if things go well.
It's one of the reasons why I don't delegate to projects. I like to do my curations myself, I like to put in that time, to support who I think I like their content or input on the chain. I have also powered up some hive too. Keep up the consistency and growth.
I delegate some of my HivePower, but not a massive amount as I want to curate and reward people that engage with me... People that help me to grow... Every single comment here is helping me to stay focused and keep building... And I know that it works and vice versa too... Some of my posts help others stay focused and push through hard times... That's why we are here for each other!
Well, I have not began to play the Hive games because I do not have the capital to start it yet but I'm working towards that
Everyone does what suits the most to them... If you don't like games, then you should do something else... HIVE is full of opportunities... 😉

13% of active users participating is pretty cool considering once people reach a rep of 70 they are not eligible for main prizes.
I now do it on both my accounts.
Personally speaking it is your level of account that inspires so many Hivians, not these influencers that tend not to participate in things yet are the ones that set the tone/direction/(run) on Hive so to speak.
Yeah, they don't eligible, but you can still do it... and it is counted in those 13%... I remember the times when I was eligible, but when I reached the 70th level, I continued doing it... Just to keep my rhythm... 😃
Yeah... It's a pity that those big accounts don't participate more in HivePUD... I know by myself that I have less and less time for engagement as of other things that I try to push on HIVE, but still, it's important to keep the dialogue on... Those big names would create 10 times more noise with their power-up than I (or you) can do with our "influence"... But, OK... We are building and growing... I suppose that small steps count too

I also overshoot my initial GLX goal but nowhere near your stake.
I think with staking APR, you might end up somewhere 300K GLX so buying more really does not make sense unless you see very high potential.
BTW, what is your plan with GLX? I plan to sell them if they hit .2 Hive or 10 cents.
I have some plans connected to the "potential, trigger" price like you said, 10 cents, or such... But, I will try to ignore all FUD and FOMO regarding the GLX and take profits after the game launch, or when some other huge trigger is launched... Bull run + Messi card, or similar combo... 😃

It's interesting to see how many people have participated in HPUD I didn't think it was that many. The monthly rhythm you have is incredible, congratulations.
Some people say it's not too many participants, others are happy with the results... It depends on the point of view...
On one side, I'm happy to see some familiar names among the participants, but on the other side, I would like to see more "big accounts" doing the powerups too...
Nice progress on your goals.
I think it's not really about the amount you power up but more about your actions. It doesn't matter if you power up like 100k but power it back down after HPUD is over. I'd rather see people consistently growing their stake.
I didn't check out how often happens that people who power up on HivePUD, power down after doing it... Tbh, I didn't even think about it that someone does it... But, I suppose that it happens as some people are doing it for the prizes and not because they want to grow their stake...
Yea. It's something to consider and I don't have any real plans to power-down. It's just some extra HP ontop of what I get from being active.
It’s taken me some time but I’m edging closer and closer to the fact power should be held and used instead of delegated. That said, I’ve still got most of mine delegated out mainly to earn me some bonus hive engine tokens. It’s a fine balance, but if you’re active it makes more sense staking the Hive and using your power for curation.

I remember the time when I was delegating out all my HivePower to get a better APR... I was the best customer at Dlease... 😂 When I understood that I will never grow my influence here by doing that, I made another mistake... lol... I went a lot into the Hive-Engine tokens... Supporting dozens of different projects, tribes, games... In the end, I came to the conclusion that HivePower is the most important asset of this platform and I moved all my focus to it...
From that moment, the real growth began... But I lost a lot of time on my failed tryouts... 😃
I think i'm slothly coming to the realisation myself, I guess we're all doomed to make the same mistakes to learn! My power is still at a smaller level, so it doesn't really bring me too much influence, yet! I aim to continue growing it and increase my interactions, hopefully bringing more power my way!

It wasn't bad HivePUD, especially as market conditions aren't favorable... We will see how it will go when we began to go up...
Hive Power truly has multiple benefits and they all have a way of coming together to provide a strong level of influence and authority for the holder. One of the few assets that has long-term benefits of staking.
