New #HHHLive show stream, new topic, and some new additions to our standard "show package"... As you can see from the title, we will try to keep the focus on the first steps of our new Hivians... Onboarding to Hive is important, but when those new Hivians are here, we have to act as good hosts and show them around... We all made plenty of mistakes when we came to Hive, so why not help others to skip those mistakes and jump into the "real deal"?!

When you come to HIVE, it is hard to grasp all the things that we have here... But the good news is that you don't have to grasp everything at once, you can go step by step, discovering pieces day by day, week by week... The most important thing is to know what you are searching for. Why are you here? When you have that, you can begin with the plan creation and executing it... We are not the same and everyone has a different path and journey, but we can have similar interests, and we can help you to find the best approach for you...
As in all previous shows we have many experienced Hivians in the audience, I suppose that it will be the case this time too... That diversity should be very helpful in helping others to choose between different "strategies" for growing accounts on HIVE!
As I've been on HIVE for over 4 years, I'm a bit rusty regarding the first steps on HIVE as in those days we didn't have this many "onboarding projects" that are helping newbies... Everyone is welcome to come on the mic and share his/her story and first steps on HIVE that can be useful, or unuseful (to avoid them) on HIVE! It will be interesting to compare different views of newer Hivians compared to old members...
We will talk about...
- The first MUST DO steps for new Hivians!
- How did you do it? What mistakes you did and how to avoid them?
- How to write an introduction post?
- Find your community... Suggestions for communities that help newbies...
- Engagement is the key
- Support others to be supported...
- Tips for newbies from the audience!
- your thoughts about all the above?
Of course, closer to the end of the show, we can discuss some off-topic things too... If something is bothering you, if you have some questions regarding HIVE, Ecency, or something crypto-related... All questions are welcome!!!

Hive blockchain is one of the easiest blockchains to quickly adapt to for non crypto people in my opinion.
A lot of work has been put into new user experience and easy adaptation, which has definitely been a driving factor for getting a lot of normies connected to Hive.
Huh... that's a bold statement... While it is easy to adapt, the issue is probably in "how people came" to HIVE... If they came because someone said to them that they would get rich by blogging, they would probably quit fast... and that happens A LOT!
And you are right that a lot changed regarding the user experience after landing on HIVE... We have communities, many projects that are focused on "teaching" newbies about HIVE, and many Discord groups where people help each other... A few years ago, we didn't have any of that...
I hope loads of newbies will join your show to learn from the best.
I hope so! If not, I will probably record the show (if I don't mess something up again 😃) and it will be available for everyone to watch/listen...
Also, we had some great audience in previous shows that have tons of experience on HIVE and I know that they will share that with others!
It's sure to be another good show...judging by the themes and the audience it will have.

It's definitely a nice topic to talk about. Hive is tough when you first start off and I remember almost stopping blogging at one point before I read taskmaster4450's post. Make 500 worthwhile comments and see how things go from there.
We have all been there! I had the same experience... Was wondering if is it worth doing it at all... Nobody is reading the posts... etc... But, in the end, when the feedback was received it was easier to continue... as it gave it meaning...
I'll be there today, man. This is a really important issue. A lot of new users who join Hive leave Hive after a few posts and I think we're not very good at onboarding and it would be great to hear some ideas to change that.
