Lately, I got involved in many different live shows in Discord (as a speaker, but mostly as a listener), and different communities on HIVE, and that helped me a lot to check "HIVE pulse"... I can't say that I liked all that I saw, but it was a wakeup call for me to share my views about HIVE in my posts more often... Just to check "my pulse" regarding the platform as I could be very wrong and the last thing that I would like is to harm our network...

One of the things that I see very often is that people compare HIVE with some "old, Web2" social networks like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc... There is nothing wrong in doing that, but... What is worrying is when people try to COPY things from those networks and try to do the same on HIVE... This time, I don't want to write about people who BUILD apps on HIVE with the Web2 mindset, trying to implement them in Web3 surroundings... That's like building a skyscraper on a rowing boat... Why would we look back when our technology is superior to the old one?

On the other side, ordinary people on HIVE is trying to find a person who will do all the thinking for them, fight for their rights, and in the end, fill their pocket with money... Something similar happened on Twitter when Elon Musk took it over... He will save us! Now everything will be super-dopper... No, it won't... It is still on YOU and ME to change the world...

It hurts to see people trying to centralize the decentralized world... Happened last year with Celsius, FTX, etc... Don't forget why are you here... You escaped from the rotten traditional financial system and you are trying to copy it here... again? Seriously? We can do better than that... The Web3 tools are created to give you your power back, don't waste it and give it away... again...

Regarding my Hive Power goal, I have passed another round number!

62K HP under my belt and 13K more to reach my goal for this year! We will celebrate tomorrow the HivePUD and I will do my best to collect my standard power-up amount again... 😉 I was close to reaching my monthly goal, but that will wait for some of the next months...

In the last 7 days, I have added 207 tokens to my Hive Power... Finally, one number that is higher than the week before! It is still less than I need per week if I plan to hit my yearly goal, but a very close number... This week I have created 5 posts (including this), which is probably my recent record... That means that I could expect a nice number of accumulated HP next week too...

Better staking number in my LEO Power goal, too... I have added 88 LEO tokens to my stake during the last 7 days... Price of the token is still pretty low, so the accumulation of tokens is easier... It could go further down and gives a nice opportunity to pick up more... I will speculate and wait a bit more...

GAMING GOALS - Flexible Goals

More and more news is coming from the Rising Star game... After Easter and Birthday Party special missions, we have some new blending options that we didn't have before... As for blending is needed to use an NFT which is sold ONLY for STARPRO tokens (the second token in the game), it moved that price up to the sky... The consequence of that was that the STARBITS price also went a bit up... Who doesn't like to see that? 😃

I have continued with my regular 36 packs per week openings, added 107 cards in the last 7 days, and I'm thinking of buying some old(er) EPIC cards that I don't have in my collection... Will see which ones... :)

The official date of the launch of the Genesis League Sports game is closing and it is a bit more than a month to that event... As the price of the GLX token is going down, I'm buying more tokens for the same amount of HIVE as before... So, in the past week, I have staked more tokens than ever before... 😃 Almost 10K tokens in a week! If the price slides under 1c, I suppose that I will not resist beating that record... lol...

Great work on your goals, you are racing away at 62K. You GLX totals also growing nicely, this could be the sweet spot before the game launch. I am abit confused what to do next with Rising Star, do the tours, collect the bands, I need to have a check. But 36 packs per week is great.

Hopefully Hive doesnt get turned into web2, its so nice not dealing with the garbage on web2. The amount of scammers on twitter and instagram is unreal.

That's exactly how I think... This could be the last days/weeks of getting those tokens for cheap... + the APR for staking is still sweet... There is no better moment for accumulation than now... We can easily compare GLX with the current SPS value and staking APR, and the choice is obvious...

I am abit confused what to do next with Rising Star, do the tours, collect the bands, I need to have a check.

Rising Star was always like that... There is no right or wrong way of doing it, but you can't do it all... Pick one road and stick to it...

Copying things from other social network to Hive does not really seem right to me. The way we operate here is different from the way they operate there so bringing things from there to Hive is not cool

I was doing 1 per week usually, trying to mix them, but lately, I'm like you... overdoing them too much... Not all of them are "prepared" well and it's a lot of time wasted trying to attend them all... (I'm not talking about TTT, that was a really great done show... 😃)

Speaking of shows, while I was writing this post, I got an idea about a good name for the show... But, maybe already exists... How about... "The Ecency of HIVE" :)

Looking on the up and up with goals. While I agree we shouldn't compare Hive to web2 solutions there is still core fundamentals of web2 that can be used in web3 and those core fundamentals will make the transition much easier. When it all comes down to it though every platform really is the same besides how it brings up content others produce via algos and how it's presented to the user. It's all blog or micro blogging along with large scale blogs and vlogs that will never change and will always be the core of any social platform rolling forward. However the front end to users and the backend for how it's implemented are the critical components that will bring it into the new age. Those web2 solutions have to be adopted into web3 but the era of when developers just developed stuff for fun because it was cool and they loved doing it seem extremely far an few between which is exactly what web3 needs now.

Companies and projects come and go... Nobody can last forever... I remember the time when Yahoo was the main search engine and Google was in diapers... Nobody thought that one page with 1 logo and 1 entry field can beat Yahoo, but exactly that happened... Does that mean that Google is unbeatable and will last forever? I don't think so... The same happens with ideas, especially ideas built on blockchain and crypto... We are still in the early, experimental phase, and we have maybe tried 5% of possibilities in crypto and blockchain tech...

So much more to discover and so much more improvements on the horizon... I still think that we have a lot more to see from all this, but we have to lower the noise and get rid of those who are slowing us down...

As far as I have seen, newbies think that they can share, what they share on the other social medias you mentioned above, on HIVE as well and earn money plus.

The first duty of those communities is that they should tell newbies the rules of HIVE and watch their posts in the community. This can be done through their discord channels.

Agree with the points that you said... The big difference between HIVE and other platforms is that YOU are the OWNER of your content, and you are responsible for things that you write, share, create, and promote... When we accept that, we can build a healthy and truthful ecosystem here... Which is a great, fertile soil for future growth...

Nice progress. I have seen the posts about the rising star blending options but I kind of stopped caring about it as much because I am nowhere near the top rankings anymore. They also added a new item required for each blend and I don't really have much STARPRO stocked. So I haven't bothered as much.

Yeah, they had to implement more use cases for the STARPRO tokens as that was the only way to make the game economy work... I suppose that it has its pros and cons and we should see the results of it in the next few weeks/months... Also, there are many options to play Rising Star and it's impossible to do them all...
You pick what you like and grow in that direction... ;)

You're right. Have to build web3 mindset and application on a web3 app. However, I won't blame them, a lot of people aren't used to webs3 being different and the future

That's well on point! This is the point where we should step in... We should promote those Web3 values more often in our posts, and comments, and show people WHY it is much better than Web2 and why they shouldn't look back at all!

Seems like it's hard to get rid of some old habits, personally I found web2 to fast for me and that's probably one of the reasons I never found a place in there.

Perhaps this could be just another trend?

In the end, the goat always shoots into the bush and if people can take advantage, they will do so on Web2 or Web3. It is up to us users to choose the good and discard the scammers. It is difficult but life is difficult, we have no other choice.

Yeah, agree... Scammers and abusers are everywhere where they can find "customers"... The solution to them was always to DYOR, not fall into lies and deceptions, false promises, etc... Think before acting and take responsibility for your acts... I would say that Web3 with its perks is a perfect tool for "re-teaching" people those values, as many forgot them...

You are doing an amazing job when it comes to your hive and Leo goals, you are way ahead of your goals and that's a great thing. 62k hive is a great achievement. now you need almost 2k hive a month to reach your goal.

Yes, very true. I still see the WEB2 mindset coming through, even in those who promote a decentralized world, via WEB3. Unfortunately, it takes time... hopefully, it happens soon... as the last thing we want is WEB2 models built on WEB3 infrastructure.🤦‍♂️

I heard a lot of people "inviting" traditional banking systems to blockchain... Maybe we need some financial solutions, but I bet we can do it better than copying from the "old banking guys"... Some of the Defi solutions that we had/have are a good start, but there is a lot of space for improvements...

All businesses will eventually move to blockchain. However, what happens within the WEB3 space, particularly, really needs to maintain a certain level of "purity", in terms of decentralized protocols and operating systems. This needs to be an independent expression of blockchain.

Again, agree with you on this... Without Web3 "perks", there is no sense to build on the blockchain at all! I know that it is hard to change the mindset and I am also struggling to do it, but it makes it more challenging... The final product is worth the hard work!

You're right, you should write and speak out more about Hive. I found you late online, (which may be why, by the way) but now I read you all the time. In the sum of everyone I read and you, my thinking gradually changed, and I began to progress sharply in different directions. It really works and helps a lot! So keep it up.

The best way to grow is to read what other people are thinking and (especially) doing... Not everyone is doing what's preaching, but many do! Don't follow others' steps, but follow your own journey... I learned a lot from people who were doing stupid things and avoid a lot of bad steps on my journey... But, I did make a lot of mine... lol... I suppose that's the best way to learn...

Great efford. The way I see it, you have been working very hard for some time, first you set your life goals and then work on them, that's the only way a person can be successful. I also had a similar desire to get more HD, but the conditions here in Pakistan are bad, so I have to do it.

Thanks for the comment! You are right, it took some time to build it up and I'm continuing to build my portfolio, and actively working on bringing value to HIVE... All that shows on #MyHiveGoals and has to bring some fruits...

It's good that you and Achim started to participate in live shows, both for yourselves and for Liotes.

Thanks for sharing with us some impressions from "the inside", lol. I know they are probably open, I just prefer recordings, whenever possible. Although these lack the potential of engaging with others who participate.

Congrats on reaching 62k HP. When I think about the compound effect, I imagine what you have done with your HP, and even myself to a lesser degree.

Thanks for your kind words! The compounding effect is bigger and bigger as the account grows, which is awesome... Before, I had to collect more HIVE from H-E games and tribes, but as time passes, I need less and less...

Participating in live events helps a lot in creating better (and longer) connections and relationships... It's not like meeting in real life but is still better than comments (not saying that comments are bad 😀)...

Of course, not every stream is for everyone as they have different topics, but it's nice to hang out with people from the community...
