I heard the story in a crypto podcast about the Kraken trading exchange stopping the staking service. In return, they have paid a fee of 31 million in US value.

So many tokens and projects on Hive these days, it is hard to keep up.

The good ones stick around, weaker ones pass on by.. Just how it is supposed to work.

I guess that crypto has a bit of an internal ideology problem. It is ultra-capitalistic with emphasis on the sovereign individual and mobility of assets, but it is also anarchistic in that it wants privacy and no regulation. You can't really have both because of the threat of dark money and overinfluence of deep wallets. But even aside from that, the problem is that capitalism needs efficient markets to succeed, and in its current extra-greedy American-style form, it only regulates the front end of monetary actions, and ignores the backend of externalities, truly free markets, making only sensible subsidies and protectionary tariffs, etc. So the global financial system is capitalistic in its emphasis on capital above all else, but oligarchic in its refusal to prevent rent-seeking and trading protectionism to those who can pay for it. So, both crypto and the global economy have inherent contradictions between what they say they want and what they actually want. What both really want is competitive advantage, especially to early movers. Both are intensely incentivized toward rent-seeking. Those who run the show don't really care about crypto, it is probably many of the same people who are influential in both spheres. What they want is to charge as much rent as they can. Stakin, privacy, whatever, all of it is problematic because it often rent that escapes the grasp of those with influence.

Anyway, that is just a thought I have. Hard to say how true it might be.

The government is attacking crypto by not regulating it. They even block any bank that has a history of crypto currency transaction.

I would love to learn more about pools and how to use them to earn. I ask around and am warned against it. I do a search and can not make heads or tales of the information.
