CLEANING MY PEN SURROUNDING TO MAKE IT A SAFE HAVEN FOR MY BIRDS.

My bigger Pen is situated in between two to three uncompleted buildings along some bushy path. So because of all these, there are dangerous reptiles like Snakes, Alligators and Lizards always flittering around the neighborhood most especially alligators. Alligators are common in this area and the reason for this is that we have a lowly stream next to us. As you know Alligators are friend of stream. They are kind of animal that can live in the water as well as on the land. So we see them around when they are looking for prey. Prey like small ducks and chicks, local eggs laid by the local chicken.

So in order to fend off these things from coming around the surroundings have to be kept clean. The first thing to do is bush clearing, I do commonly during the raining season because the weeds have continuous access to water supply from the rain. So it makes them to grow very well, this makes the need to do this necessary. The only tools I need to make these cleanings are small, more or less a short Cutlass and Rake( to pack away the weeds when they are gotten rid of)

The reason for the cleaning is a glaring one because I don't want any of the aforementioned reptiles trying so hard to sneak into my pen and harm my birds. So the best thing to do is make the surroundings clean bearing in mind that reptiles can even make the Pen their convenient place to stay which can also be harmful to human and not only the Birds.
