This is my post for this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge, where we are challenged to promote this fantastic and dynamic game outside of our main network, which is HIVE, where you are rewarded in various ways for your posts and much more! If you are coming from outside, welcome, I recommend taking a look around and getting a HIVE account to be a part of this fantastic community and play Splinterlands with us. I love combos
All cardgame player loves a combo, don't we? I'm a fan of cards that synergize, pairs or trios that produce fantastic effects, sequences of plays that make the game happen and are usually lethal.
This post is about that, in double dose, because better than one combo is two 😉.
Combo 1: Repair and Heal
I love the "repair and heal" package combos, which give phenomenal resistance to the front line and are usually relatively cheap.
Repair
Obviously, Scavo Hireling is excellent, being a neutral and common card, it suffers few restrictions from the ruleset, its statistics are quite reasonable, it usually brings a lot of value to the game, especially after level 3, when it receives +1 life and speed. I played season 109 in wild silver with a golden one that I rented for 2.240 DEC, an excellent investment:
But there are other options: 3 in modern and 1 exclusive to wild (red box. the images and data are from the incredible @summonerlab, highly recommend):
Tank Heal
There are 6 healers, 3 in modern, 3 in wild:
Combo 2: Martyr's Resurrection
The martyr ability is very interesting, and a well-positioned martyr can be the key to victory. A +1 to all stats of adjacent cards is a very advantageous buff. Using the resurrect ability to bring back the martyr seems to be an excellent strategy, doubly advantageous.
There are currently three martyrs in @splinterlands, all ranged, with the archer rat Venari Marksrat being the most famous, a rare neutral card:
There are five ressurrectors: four modern and one wild, all legendary:
The perfect team for a crushing match
I had the opportunity to play with what I call the aquatic dream team in a match with a reasonable amount of mana and a favorable ruleset:
The three elements where you can combine the "repair and heal" and "martyr resurrection" combos are Water, Earth, and Life, and all were available, in addition to Death, which I hardly ever play (I prefer Life 😉).
Armored Up gives +2 shields to all monsters, and Keep your distance prohibits melee cards in the game.
35 mana is quite reasonable for a good match; we'll see.
Kelya Frendul is one of the strongest summoners, in my opinion, and I had a level 2 golden one, rented for 4.447 DEC:
Playing with Water, Merdaali Guardian is the healing tank card, and I had a level 1 card delegated via a 90% reward share from @nfty-arcade:
The resurrector will be Riven Hellondale, level 1, delegated by the great @michupa:
Kelya, Marksrat + Riven Hellondale, Scavo Heling + Meerdali Guardian. It costs 20 mana.
There are 15 mana and two slots left for what should be the "team killers." I chose Djinn Oshannus level 1 (also delegated by @michupa 💕), the terror of the seven seas, and Axemaster level 2 (rented for 3.761 DEC):
Positioning
One of the decisions you must make is where to position Marksrat: greedy and opportunistic players may choose to place him in the middle to distribute his buff to two cards, counting on some enemy ability (Snipe or Opportunity) to quickly eliminate him. I chose to be more modest and put him in the front row. He will buff Djinn, who will be the effective front line, protecting Merdaali Guardian, followed by River Hellondale, then Axemaster and Scavo Heling in the rear (good luck, dude 😄):
On the field
The opposing team
Well balanced against mine, I would say: Invoker at the same level, Failed Summoner making a first front line for Regal Peryton to hold the late game, a lot of magical damage, and basic healing for the front line to hold out longer.
And this is how our battlefield turned out:
Summoners at the ready, we can begin:
Djinn hits the Failed Summoner, and the reflected damage is absorbed by the Void. Regal Peryton eliminates Marksrat in the first hit, wich buffs Djinn, and is resurrected. Axemaster finishes off Failed Summoner with two hits, Venari Spellsmith kills Marksrat for the second time, and we have a Djinn with 4 magic damage, 8 speed, a lot of life, and a lot of armor (which will be useless against magic damage). He still takes some shots, Goblin Psychic heals Regal, and so begins round 2:
Djinn prepares Regal for death, Axemaster finishes off once again, Merdaali Guardian heals 4 😱, Venari Spellsmith's Cleanse cancels the buffs given by the martyr on Djinn 😤, more shots are exchanged, and we move on to round 3:
Once again, Djinn prepares for Axemaster to strike, shots are exchanged, another opponent is knocked down, and with a clear advantage, we advance to turn 4, which will be similar to 3, and in turn 5, it is River Hellondale who has the pleasure of finishing off the resilient Goblin Psychic and the game. GG!🏆

2 combos numa mesma partida
cura
São 6 as curandeiras, 3 do modern, 3 do wild:
Combo 2: Ressurreição do mártir
O time perfeito, numa partida arrasadora
Kelya, Marksrat + Riven Hellondale, Scavo Heling + Meerdali Guardian.
o time adversário
Invocadores a postos, podemos começar:
Djinn bate no Summoner, e o dano refletido é absorvido pelo Void. Regal Peryton elimina Marksrat no primeiro golpe, ele buffa o Djinn e é ressucitado.
GG!🏆
Assista a partida e veja a magia acontecendo:
