NATURE: A PATIENT MONSTER

Patiently watching, noticing
All but saying nothing.
A Caring but patient
Monster, calmly she
Accepts the disrespect
Thrown in her face, with
A scornful smile she laughs
At Humanity.

In a fit of rage, she shows us
What she's capable of, sending
Tsunami's, tornado's, whirlwinds
And earthquake's to vent out
On us. Sadly as a child, we go
Back to our disrespectful ways,
Often finding ways to soothe her
Anger.

On and on the cycle of disrespect
Continues, humans daring the
Vicious anger of mother nature,
But she sits silently, watching all
And saying nothing for she
Has a Caring side she displays to
All.

A tender mother she's but also
A patient monster. Flashing out
Her anger only when, she wants to
Correct Humanity mistakes, in a
Bit to correct us, she takes a few of
Us. But all her correction often, falling
Into deaf, ears.

A day of retribution, when she knows
No one, when her maker gives her the
Go ahead, until this day she reveals herself.
Going on a full rampage, with no chains
To hold her back. She let's known her wild
Intent, lashing right out at Humanity.
Until then patient is she, a patient
Monster indeed.
