ONE PATRIOTIC THING I HAVE DONE FOR MY COUNTRY

I am a proud citizen of Nigeria. I love and support the growth of my country in any way I can. We all come from one country or the other, and I believe most of us have done something that can be considered patriotic, no matter how little or big it is. For the record, I have been casting votes since I was 18 years old, and this is one of the patriotic things I have done for my country. For the love I have for my country, showing my little support this way is what patriotism is all about.

Two weeks ago, I shared a post about the Nigerian presidential election that took place on the 25th of February, 2023 and how I participated actively before and during the election. I made a quick review of the three major candidates from the different political parties contesting for the post of the presidency. Well, the election has come and go and I have been asking myself several questions based on what happened in different polling units. Since I became an adult, this is one of the Nigerian election I have witnessed whereby youths and other noble men availed themselves with so much energy to exercise their civil rights. It baffled me seeing lots of Nigeria citizens who travelled from abroad back to Nigeria just to vote. Imagine the huge sacrifice, I also saw some people who travelled from the East to the western part of Nigeria (Lagos state) where I reside just because of this election. All these people made this sacrifice because of one single candidate whom most Nigerians believes he has all it takes to turn our ugly situations around. The man we hope can revive our dieing economy to some an extent!

Unfortunately, the election rigging was on the high side. It was so obvious that even the INEC could not defend the results. I watched lots of videos of what happened in different polling units and how APC party agents and fans were busy messing up with lots of ballot papers for LABOUR PARTY candidate which majority of Nigerians wants as the new Nigeria president. I wasn't surprised anyway because the government has been so corrupt for ages. The APC party has been on the seat for the past 8 years with lots of bad records. Many of us wanted a fair and free election but got disssapointed . Is free and fair election no longer possible in my country? INEC brought up several lies about bivas and how the network was bad and so much trash which made uploading of the result difficult. The election took place on the 25th of February but getting the result took them another 3 days, of course they did what they wanted within those days and came up with underserved result. The result shows that the same APC CANDIDATE won and trust me, lots of Nigerians aren't accepting the result. Did I tell you that many people who came to vote for labour party candidate in some polling units were denied access to vote? It was bad to that point , the APC party were desperate to remain in that seat!

image.png

Some youth planned for a protest but the candidate of our choice said everyone should remain calm for now. The case has been on the court. I really do not know what the outcome will look like. I have seen many Nigerians updating their watsapp status with this quote "if APC party should rule Nigeria again, I will leave the country", and the likes of it. However, I will keep my fingers crossed, pray for my dear country too for good. I wished the will of Nigerians were established in the election, I wished our vote counted... if wishes were horses!

Tommorow is another Governorship election in different states if all things being equal. Many people have been preaching to me to vote for continuity. Sincerely I am still skeptical about participating. Will my vote count this time? Won't they rig the election again? Does it worth spending my precious time over there? Just maybe I will give it a try again as a good citizen of her country.

In conclusion, it's always good to pay attention to the happenings in your country. By casting a vote , you are practically exercising patriotism for the growth of your country.

I appreciate your time on my blog ❤️

Keep doing it. One day you will see the results we expect. If we don't keep voting, one day they will be bale to defend their results because all the good people didn't vote and their people came to vote. African might be cursed but there is still hope we can turn around and work to make our countries great.
MAy we live to see Africa being great. Amen

Tommorow is another Governorship election

It has been postponed to 18th though.
I also sacrificed greatly for this year's election.
Unlike you, I have not been voting because I really didn't believe in this country but Peter Obi gave me hope and I woke up the spirit in me.

Spent days looking to get registered
Spent hours queuing up to get the voter's card
Went to the polling unit by 9am and was only able to vote by 8pm

And they had the mind to do whatever pleased them😢.

I'm actually not voting again in this country atleast for the next ten days, never!

I hope you don't give up voting because that's what the politicians want. Rigging is a tool to disenfranchise and discourage the citizens from coming out to vote, thereby making it easier to rig. Keep going, there's definitely hope

The result we got after that Presidential election is a clear highlight of the problem with Nigeria's electoral process. The fact that it took so many days for the result to be released is forgiveable, but when we are being fed a result that goes contrary to public opinion, it makes you question the transparency of the whole election.

Well, I heard that Gubernatorial elections are already postponed by a week. It won't be happening this weekend, but next weekend.

Yea, the public opinion did not reflect in the result and this has made a lot of people have zero interest in participating in the upcoming election. I wonder when Nigeria will change for good again.
I also read about the postponement this afternoon... hopefully many people will be motivated to come out and vote again through speech going on now

So beautiful the way you put, you see Nigeria is made up of youthful populace, and they re more than 85_90% and all these needed one man to man the affairs of the nation, even the very elderly ones, I can tell everyone is so FADE UP of the so called incumbent party talkless of its presendential candidate.

I tell you of a truth this time the rigging system and style will not favour them cause Nigerians will never accept that result.

Here is a man with a paradigm shift of how to reset tge country and to keep it running smoothly also for the first time this guys should be given a fair test of the country's top governance...but some big chiefs dont want to let that happen

My dear the election is more than what we saw, I was surprised in my unit I was working the old women didn't even know the name of the LP candidate, it was obvious that he didn't campaign to the rural areas, yes lot of people voting for him are those who lives in the city not so with the ones in the village

Even the governorship election has been shifted to the 18th which is next week.

Seriously, they did a lot of rigging in the presidential election but we would continue to pray for our dear country for the best to happen.

I have always doubted the authenticity and transparency of election in Nigeria hence not voting but this time around I decided to exercise my franchise as a patriotic citizen after being drilled and motivated by the blueprint of the presidential candidate of Labour Party. I joined the queue and voted on 25th February 2023 hoping that my vote would count, unfortunately the election was rigged. It's so disheartening and discouraging but we still need to vote. One day Nigeria will rise again

I don't so whatsapp xd.

Yea I know you'll say so, many were chased home in Enugu with gun for trying to vote other party.

And all the suppose results on Abia Rack centers uploaded weren't visible, how is that possible when the camera of the bivas is very good and even a small touchlight phone would do a better job.

Enter my DM on Discord for video and places you'll check on inec website for evidence.
