Kraken challenges SEC

The SEC continues to pursue its favorite activity of filing lawsuits against crypto companies both small and large.

Months ago, the US SEC filed a lawsuit against Kraken, claiming that the latter had facilitated the trading of securities since 2018 without obtaining the necessary license.

Kraken responded and rejected the case completely, describing it as devoid of truth. Recently, it also responded that the lawsuit lacks accuracy, as the SEC did not find any evidence and identification of the alleged securities.

As we reported, Kraken has been accused of operating as an unregistered securities exchange, broker-dealer, and clearing agency by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

For your information, the SEC brought the same charge against Coinbase and Binance.

“Kraken” company challenged the credibility of the lawsuit and filed the appeal with the court awaiting a response.
