Hola gente de Hive, en esta ocasión les hablo un poco sobre este libro del famoso Eduardo Punset, El Sueño de Alicia. Me atraen en exceso los libros de divulgación científicas y de historia (en especial de detalles históricos interesantes). Este libro es algo así como una mezcla entre divulgaciones científica y ficción narrativa. Interesante y suficientemente entretenido como para no morir en el intento de leerlo, aunque me ha costado un poco terminarlo.
Por si acaso, Eduardo Punset fue un pionero de la divulgacion científica en España. Tenía un programa llamado REDES que se dedicaba a temas de ciencia y que duró por unos 20 años. No supe de él sino cuando me compré este libro. Luego, vi varios de los episodios de su programa en YouTube.

Este libro lo compré hace un buen tiempo (unos 10 años) en una librería de Maturín que ya está extinta. Sin duda, una de las cosas que me llamó la atención al verlo fue su portada, el color azul oscuro. Por supuesto que ya sabía sobre este libro, ya que había leído reseñas en internet en mi búsqueda incesante de buenos libros de divulgación científica.
Además, como habrán podido notar, siento una atracción por la apariencia de los libros, quiero decir que también me agrada mucho el aspecto de los libros, su formato y material, su diseño grafico de portadas y contraportada, su tipografía y su olor. Aunque, no quiere decir esto que dejaría pasar un buen libro solo porque tiene un aspecto básico.

Lo que no me pareció muy bueno en sí es que la historia es una excusa o está hilada de manera que se puedan explicar aspectos de divulgación científica. Lo que quiero decir es que siento la historia ligeramente sintética y a veces te corta la línea de lectura el saltar de explicaciones de ciencias que surgen del contexto contado. No es tan pesado, pero si se soporta es entretenido.

I liked the book the mix of science and emotions. And that complex concepts are explained in a simple and enjoyable way, without losing scientific rigor. And they are good science data, current and interesting.

What didn't seem very good to me in itself is that the story is an excuse or is woven in a way that aspects of scientific dissemination can be explained. What I want to say is that I feel the story is slightly synthetic and sometimes the line of reading is cut off by jumping to science explanations that arise from the context told. It's not that heavy, but if you endure it it's entertaining.
